I actually think L-Draw is in the wrong here. They use the 'MOTM' meaning
Model of the Month..we all know that. My case is, Lego is used to create
'Models'.. L-Draw is a cad, graphics system, which in my eys does not create
lego models at all.
You can argue the word 'model' also has a computer graphics relationship,
but when talking about Lego, model has one meaning: a physical structure
made of lego.
I think L-Draw should change the name of their contest to something like
'VMOTM' Virtual Model of the Month, and the Lego community should encourage
more themed MOTM's.
The phrase Model of the Month or MOTM has no relation to what the L-Draw
system does. When you here MOTM.. you dont naturally think its means the
model is created within a software application.

| (...) They are, but not for the reasons you state. (...) But LDraw *does* create LEGO models. Whether a model's physical parameters are stored in ABS molecules or mathematical data is irrelevant. Either method is an equally valid representation of (...) (22 years ago, 9-Mar-02, to lugnet.technic)

Okay, so here's the deal, Tim Courtney from LDraw.org has asked me to change the name of Technic MOTM into something _not_ Model Of The Month since he feels MOTM is "an important part of LDraw.org's recognition". I _will_ change the name despite (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-02, to lugnet.technic)
