The story has been put on hiatus until further notice

This will be how I tell my story, through accounts and whatnot, like the news: history unfolding.
  • There are ten months in the Tangui calendar, which is the standard within the former Lonsan Empire. The months are uneyl (Un.), duote (Du.), trion (Tr.), quady (Qd.), quarty (Qt.), siexen (Sx.), septine (Sp.), ochone (Oc.), nonyl (No.), dietan (De.).

  • Year notation is “In the Year of God” (YG), although notation is usually left off. YG 1 refers to various myths, but is considered religiously important by all peoples. The polytheistic Lonsans say that is when the chief god Tuthu anointed the first of the Lonsan kings, while monotheistic Caers believe it is when Adala first gave the gift of the Eternal Flame; other stories also exist.

  • There are ten days in the Tangui week, and four weeks in a month. Overall there are four hundred days in a year, therefore longer than the Gregorian year (our).
The Rebellion of 879 :This is just a synopsis, since the past always plays a role in the present.

17 Du 899 Lonsana.

Emporer Paul II has abdicated the kingships of Lonsana and Bosia, as well as the princeships of Copecaer, Cuetland, and Olmany, while retaining the imperial thrown in Lonsana. The middle son, Paul III, was made King in Lonsana, while eldest Rober was made King in Uunle. The youngest son, James Henry, has been named Prince of Copecaer and Bev, although he remains in Lonsana. This action on the Emporer’s part is seen to be his method of peacably dividing the empire in the wake of his approaching death.

The Lonsan Northern Army arrives in Coplton.
The Northern Army was ordered last week from its base outside Olmany at Outpost to Coplton, the capital of Copecaer. This move is seen as abandoning Lonsan hopes of reconquering Olmany, in favor of protecting and securing Lonsan power in Copecaer. The picture above is the Northern Army’s arrival in Coplton.

Etineau meets with Melkya Dokeste.
Caeric populist leader, Melkya Dokeste met with Governor Yves Etineau today to discuss the emminent arrival of Prince James Henry. Dokeste and Etineau have been working together to ensure peace within Copecaer since Etineau’s appointment in 890. However, recently some nationalist leaders, such as Mel Sesoly, have arisen trying to push Dokeste into an anti-Lonsan position. The arrival of the Northern Army last year has also exacerbated the situation, since many Caers resent the presence of a large army. It is unclear what, if any, agreements were made.

Emporer Paul II died this morning. All three of his sons pause to pay respects, but there is imminent danger of civil war between Paul III and Rober. Meanwhile, Prince James Henry finally prepares to travel to his new home of Coplton, in far away Copecaer. James Henry leaves in two days when the Emporer’s funeral ends.

The Prince arrives.
Prince James Henry arrived in Coplton today. A large crowd came to see, but many people are apprehensive about the new monarch, who has had no prior ruling experience. Local blacksmith, Rikly has said, “I’m not a nationalist or anything, but I just hope he doesn’t mess anything up.” Caer-Lonsan relations are a peculiar balancing act that Etineau has been able to handle for some time, a new and unstable element, such as James Henry, may upset that balance.

The Abhavan Leadership meets.
Dokeste called an informal meeting of the leadership of the Abhavan Tribe today to discuss the Abhavan responce to the changes corresponding with the Northern Army, James Henry, and the overall state of the empire. Mel Sesoly advocated an uprising, but Mel Pwyll and Mel Miran, as well as all the Melmas, advised against such an action. The meeting ended with Dokeste sending Mel Pwyll to Glen Caer to meet with Melkya Jorchi, the hope being that Abhavan and Shivan responces could be coordinated.

21 Tr 900 Kyamitsu.

Melkya Miyamoto arrives in Kyamitsu.
A dramatic development today, as Qi Melkya Miyamoto led his army of the Zin Alliance to Kyamitsu, at the southern end of Qinxu. Miyamoto’s army, which has his fledgling riflemen squad, as well as ninjas and Tiezin footsoldiers, occupied Kyamitsu and set up camp outside the compound walls. This action puts Miyamoto’s army within striking range of Coplton and Glen Daerndd. Miyamoto has declared his intention to be to unite the Five Tribes and select a Qan; probably with himself in mind. The Zin Camp.

Mel Pwyll meeting with Melkya Jorchi.
Mel Pwyll of the Red Dragon Clan met today with Melkya Jorchi of the Shivans to discuss joint Abhavan-Shivan responce to the new Lonsan presence. Jorchi agreed to act in harmony with Dokeste concerning the Lonsans, but indicated he would be silent in any conflict between Caers, specifically the Qi threat to Abhavans. Pwyll and Jorchi set a date for a future meeting between Dokeste and Jorchi, place still to be named.

The Wolves attacking the arms shipment.
The Wolf Rebellion calling itself Cairn Firriney struck this morning at a shipment of weapons from Lonsana. The Rebels killed the Imperial Officer as well as the two guards, and took the weapons wagon away. The shipment was of ten muskets, which were to be used to conscript and arm new soldiers. The conscription was part of Etineau’s plan to disperse the Northern Army, but still maintain its firepower. The plan also violated the Lonsan-Caeric Agreement of 889, which specifically declared that no Caers would be conscripted without Melkya approval. The Wolves have been mostly silent for the past five years, this attack signals possibly a renewed effort on their part. It is still uncertain what Wolf leader, Kian Gxi intends to do with the weapons. The Wolves ride away in celebration of their victory.
