Lego Technic and Bionicle set Reviews

Welcome to the Technic and Bionicle set reviews page!

Here, I have added yet another compilation of reviews, this time a few for the Technic and Bionicle series. Warning! If you’re a die hard bionicle fan, I suggest you get a notepad right now so you can counter some of my points made in the reviews below. Just to clarify, I actually evaluate the models beforehand, so I am not biased, the ratings are the product of my review system.

Technic and Bionicle reviews...

Set Name: Bionicle Kopaka
Rating: 4/10
Overall Model: 1/2
Parts Selection: 0/2
Color Scheme: 2/2
Function: 1/2
Alternate Models: 0/2

Just to clarify again, I don’t just “place” a rating on a set because I dislike or favor it, I evaulate the set beforehand. Now that this is clarified, let’s get down to the rating system. There has been much contrevery over the technic community over the bionicle series, some of the opinions so diverse, it seems there is a generally thin line between the comminity over this issue. Are bionicles a feasible attempt to capitalize on Lego’s recent so called “effort” to jump onto the action figuree bandwagon? If so, the general opinion seems to be a low approval rate, save for younger fans who seem to grasp the theme entirely...but what about older fans and AFOLS? Anyway, besides that, the bionicle set Kopaka is generally a good idea of the boundries Lego should not cross, and is yet another testimony to the bane of bricks. Alternate models with the bionicle series are somewhat impossible to build, and the results look like something picasso wouldn’t even draw, the function is somewhat limited to the turning of a head, or the swinging of a sword, and the parts selection is over specialized, most of them not even compatible with the lego brick, the original goal of the lego System itself... Converse to this, there are some merits which need to be highlighted in the bionicle set, some of them being the coherent ability to draw in nice sales from the product, attractive designs, and a generally good color scheme, which saves its rating for a few points, but the overall model is intriguing entirely, with a lot of function, some detail, and a decent potential as an action figure if you like to slice things with your sword, but the posing is somewhat poor, and It is sometimes difficult to get the bionicle to stand upright without if falling to the ground and breaking apart. In the long run, this is a poor set if you don’t like bionicle, but a great set if you can’t get anough of action figures. But, If you wish to but it anyway, it makes a really nice paperweight :)

I have saved rating more Bionicle sets simply due to the fact that most of these apply to the rating above...anyway, if you *really* disagree with ths rating, please email me at Pyrokid17@hotmail.com, and we can debate...
