GardenSLUG is go, we had our meeting.  When and where is the next one?

How about early fall?  We 'll need to decide what we want to cover/do at the
next meeting.  Unfortunately I missed the first one so I don't know what you
folks agreed on (other than our cool name of Gardenslug).

Well, we talked about meeting every six to nine weeks.  That would point us at
9 September give or take.  If I recall correctly Erik and LJ both suggested
that they could host sometime (not that I'm trying to put a specific invite
into anyone's mouth).  Does anyone want to volunteer their place for a meeting
at a specific date?

I'd offer, but somehow I think the airfare would be prohibitive.  :)

What would we like to cover/do?  I listed a bunch of possible activities in a
previous note, most of which we didn't pursue.  Do any of those or others
sound good to people?  Who would be planning to come to the next meeting? (Me.)

Hey, if you could WebCam it, I'd check in.  ;)  As far as a building pile or
something like that, I'd be happy to contribute a few bucks to get
something--although I do wish I were going to be around, because I could find us
some nifty clearance LEGO, no problem!

Perhaps I'll have to be member-at-large, sending interesting things from Europe.

We basically fooled around at my place.  Is that what we'll be doing in
general, or will we have a more structured situation in the future?

Structure in building = good
Structure in meeting = ?

As a non-attending observer, it sounds like everyone had a capital time just
building, chatting, and swapping ideas.  I'd guess that unless we're planning
shows, 'fests, or the like, there's not too much need for rigid structure (so long
as nothing's degenerating into total chaos).

best

Lindsay
