Me too.  Nice dogs are nice.  (Much like people.)

I would just like to take this opportunity to again thank Chris Weeks and
his wife for the extra effort that they put into cleaning up the room that

No problem.  Actually, that's usually their room, but I moved a bed and the cat
tree out before putting the HEPA air filter in.  And as a correction on what I
said before the meeting, our vacuum is not HEPA, after doing the consumer
research, we opted to get a high powered non HEPA vacuum cleaner instead. (For
more bang for the buck.)  I'm glad it all worked.

Except for interacting in a variety of ways with Cletus' boxes, they were
mostly well behaved.

As for getting more things accomplished at our meetings, one thing that we
should do is register a domain name before someone else does.  It would be

OK, make it so!  Actually, how does this work for a group?  I've done web
sites, but I was the only one responsible for them.  Is one or more of us going
to work on it?  Should we dangle member pages from the home page?  Who and how
are we handling the costs involved?  Is someone volunteering space?  What about
for DN registration?

nice to have a time during the meeting when people can bring out items they
have to trade.  I don't think it should dominate the meetings, however.

I think that the role of trade/commerce can vary from meeting to meeting.
Almost no trading happened at my place.  That was fine, but more would have
been OK too.

I'm still interested in participating with some group of people -- it needn't
be everyone, so long as it doesn't take forever -- on buying some clearance
sets and 'drafting' parts out as an alternative distribution method.  It just
seems like a neat experiment as well as a good way for several people to get
the stuff they want.

Chris

Hi Bianca, I doubt that I would have any problem with a dog wandering during our meeting, as long as he was reasonably well-behaved, and didn't enjoy eating Lego. I have a 110 pound dog myself, and enjoy having dogs around quite a bit. Other people (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.org.us.gardenslug)
