Just a thought and BTW the model didn't "suck".  I think we all improve over
time.  That doesn't mean that our older stuff is inferior though.

If you improve, then by default whatever you've improved on is inferior.
"Improvement" implies superiority.

Damn, I knew inferior was the wrong word as soon as I posted it.  I was just
hopeing no one would call me on it ;-).

I bow to your "superior" wisdom.

Which, of course, doesn't mean that something "sucks", it just means it's
inferior.  If I say I think "The Empire Strikes Back" is an improvement on
"Star Wars", then I am implying that I think "Star Wars" is inferior to
"Empire".  That doesn't mean I wouldn't rather watch "Star Wars" than a heck
of a lot else.

Well I always give ANH the nod over ESB but that is a story for another day.
ESB is damn close though and both ROTJ and TPM are definitely inferior to both
ANH and ESB.

But I digress

I don't think Greg's model "sucks", either, but to say he's improved means
that things he's built before are (probably[1]) inferior to things he's
building now.  Which is.... just fine.  I built a castle when I was a kid that
would pretty clearly be inferior to just about any castle I built today- but I
still think the old one had some neat points to it[2].

This is all true I always remember a recuring model, or version there of, that
I would build growing up.  It was a hugh read vehicle that was occupied by no
fewer than 10 classic space men.  It had a control center, cockpit, bunks,
galley, and even a movie theatre in at least one of the versions.  It also had
a trailer that was often 2 levels and housed smaller recon vehicles and more
quarters and a few more classic space men.

The thing was huge and at least at the time I thought it was increadibly cool.
I still think some of the interior details were better than most of what I do
now.  Mostly because I havn't put a lot of focus on interior details lately.

So yah we agree although I didn't word it correctly the first time around.
