Exactly.
You cannot (as far as I know) copyright an assembly of Lego, but a photograph
that you took can be considered yours by law.
example:
Ansel Addams took many photographs of nature/landscapes in the black and white
poster format. Those Images are copyright to him, and cannot be used without
permission.
However, he does not own copyright to the landscape itself.
If you went to the same places he did, and took a photo from the same spot,
you could produce a black and white poster version of it and not be breaking
copyright laws.
anyways, thats the way it has been described to me by my professors. I (and
they) could be wrong, if anyone has different info, I'd be most interested...
since images and copyrights are important to my future career.
