What Hendo said. And with that said, I'm in the transition between being a
sophomore and junior in undergrad, currently at Monmouth U. I took a leave
of abscence from Wash U in St. Louis this semester to explore other options
and be closer to home (NJ). I was/am studying architecture and graphic design.

Not sure if this is a definite but Salogel. I actually started writing the
story to this and a large battle that I plan on illustrating (at least
partially) this weekend. Maybe I'll post the intro??

Hmm...6086 Black Knight's Castle...really think this was the best "castle"
LEGO churned out (finally ordered one for my birthday two years ago) but I
have to say that 6066 Camoflauge Outpost is my favorite.
I also wish that I had picked up a bunch more of the Black Knight and
Defense Archer sets!

I have to say my Royal Knights/Crusaders castle. Most complete and
realistic one I have made. Except I have not taken pics recently and none
are uploaded at this time.
I have not been the most avid contributor to .Castle but I have been amazed
with everything I've seen and read over the past two years. I also only
started posting two months ago.

I'd say Jon Furman's LOTR series (Golden Hall for buildings) and his
excellent modular village sets. I saw the debut of Takeshi Itou's stunning
work but missed a bunch of the new stuff...that North Glacier Tower is
uber-cool.

When you consider that historically the majority of Medieval Europeans lived
in rural villages, it would be nice to have more peasants and farmers to
have as a backdrop to the other, more story-providing sub-themes.

- More complex design (not just columns holding up a roof a la Harry Potter
or Leo's Castle).
- Continue subthemes beyond the release year. One of Lego's selling points
is reusability, but today's castle sets are hardly comparable to those in
days past. Compare to Playmobil's compatibility.
- Include more 'day-in-the-life' buildings
- Go back to openable, expandable castles. Love the ability to combine 2 or
more castles together to make a wicked cool castle.
Bruce: I'd also like to see other cultures--Vikings, Romans, Greeks, etc.
Anthony Sava's idea: Or maybe even better yet. Maybe they could do
something like the My Own Train thing.
Micah: The Forestmen Builder Set, which would give kids an endless amount of
tree house designs.
I'd buy a bunch of those Forestmen Builder Sets! I'd also like to see some
village sets along the lines of medieval Scots.
