(They have been my favourites already before they were re-released. LEGO met
my taste exactly.)

There are many MOCs of others that I really like. It's not easy to highlight
a specific MOC. As for Castle maybe I like the work of Jon Furman, Takeshi
Itou and Denis Pouchain the best. But of course there are thousands of MOCs
that are immediatelly appealing to me at first glance.

Someday I will build Grimmelshausen's novel "Simplicissimus". (Well, I doubt
that you know of this German baroque novel... :-)

Considering what they have done to Castle when they released the Knights'
Kingdom line I'm almost glad that LEGO dropped Castle. They do not create
new sets anymore. All they do is revitalizing their old Legends or lettng
fans create new (indeed very good!) sets. They don't have the capability
anymore to make new *good* castle sets themselves.

Indeed. This clear distinction paralyses the fantasy. Not our fantasy but
their main clientele's, the children's, fantasy. We then were able to chose
our favourite faction by ourselves (Black Falcons or Lions or Forest
Men...). These days children almost are commited to hate the evil bulls and
to like the good King Leo. They don't have a choice anymore.
