You have entered the world of RIFT, stranger.

Ten years ago, the Terran Space Exploration Corporation claimed this sector for scientific research and settlement. Three planets were soon mapped and explored and it was discovered Terra II, the largest planet, was hospitable to Terrans. Soon, four Starbases, a reserch station and a colony on Terra II were thriving.

However, a danger was lurking in sector Gamma 5,1. Scientists on Starbase III were becoming to bold with their experiments. When activated, experiment # ALPHAPRO-666.1 detonated and created a sub-space tear known as the RIFT.
