The RIFT Various probes have been sent into the RIFT, but none were heard of again. There might be great wealth for the taking for any ship brave enough to enter. The RIFT is spread halfway across the sector. U.S.S. Roderik A scientific research vessel, the U.S.S. Roderik and all of her crew met a grisly death when four unknown vessels attacked it soon after the RIFT was opened. All that remains of the ship is her shattered hull and a cloud of debris in sub-sector Beta 2,2. Starbase I The first starbase to be built in sector Gamma 5,1, Starbase I is the only starbase still intact and running. Heavily guarded by several warships, you will need proper identification and a whole lot of luck to dock at this starbase located in sub-sector Delta 5,6. Starbase II This starbase was used as a shipyard, a place where vessels could dock, repair and refuel. Jumbles of wreckage of the once magnificent starbase remains in sub-sector Alpha 4,1, the starbase being destroyed when the RIFT opened. Starbase III The cause of the RIFT, Starbase III stands as a ghostly reminder of an experiment gone too far. This starbase is still intact, but completely deserted. Space-farers claim this place, located in Beta 5,2, is cursed. Starbase IV Under construction when the RIFT opened, Starbase IV is cursed to be forever incomplete. Drifting quietly in sub-sector Gamma 4,5, this starbase good only for some free scrap parts. Terra II A near duplicate of Earth, this planet occupies nearly the entire Delta subsector. Terra II has 14 contenints, four of them larger than the others. Many colonies are spread across the planet. Archacnoid Similar to Mars, this planet is almost untouched by humans, except for a small abandoned base. Archacnoid is located in the Gamma sub-sector. Lassij Much like Saturn except much smaller, Lassij, located in the Beta sub-sector, is nothing except a navigational hazard. Back |
