Lonsans.

The Lonsans are a foreign group who have invaded and are now controlling Copecaer. Some claim their power doesn’t exceed far from Coplton, and many are planning for their quick demise, but the presence of the powerful Northern Army may say otherwise...

Prince James Henry of Lounselle.

James Henry is the youngest son of the last Lonsan emporer, Paul II. Raised in the imperial capital of Lonsana, it is widely believed that he has now real experience or skills that would prepare him for ruling. He himself has not made it private that he considers Coplton to be a backwoods outhouse, and he often yearns to return to Lonsana. But perhaps he does have some tricks up his sleeve.

Governor Yves Etineau

Although ‘governor’ may not be the best word to describe what Yves does, it has stuck since he was Governor for ten years before James Henry arrived. Yves runs the day to day business of the Lonsan administration, and is perhaps the brains behind the Prince. He controlls the Scythians, the Lonsan police garrison in Coplton. He is the only Lonsan who has the education and skill of dealing on a national level government, and this alone gives him importance.

General Charte Sutton, Supreme Commander of the Northern Army

Charte’s past is somewhat shadey. He joined the Lonsan Army in Olmany when he was twelve, and through sheer skill and talent rose to be one of the most elite of Lonsan commanders. It is no mistake that he commands the Northern Army, with its elite Rifleman Corps, using the revolutionary new gunpowder technology. The NA is completely loyal to him alone, and many rightly believe he is the backbone of Lonsan power in the region.

Lord Neuborg

Nueborg is the head of a fabulously wealthy Lonsan family, and the Minister of Imperial Trade, trading within the empire. Although stuck up and pompous (he too thinks of Coplton as an outhouse), his economic importance is parallel to Sutton’s military power.

Bellnin

Bellnin is Neuborg’s right hand man. Although just as hateful and greedy as Neuborg, Bellnin would be lost without Neuborg’s guidance.

General Appleyard

Appleyard is a general for hire in the Lonsan Army, and has come to Coplton to sell his skills to James Henry. Gen. Sutton, however, dislikes and distrusts Appleyard, and has so far not made any move to allow Appleyard into the Northern Army’s command structure. Appleyard exists as a possible rival to Sutton, though.

Duke Geis

Geis is the Minister of the Interior for the Lonsan Empire, and is currently in Coplton on the business of reforming the Coplton Garrison. Geis is a newcomer to Copecaer, and his influence in the Empire may be an interesting element in the years to come.

Ryan of Geis son of Duke Geis

With the likelyhood of civil war, Duke Geis brought his son with him when he went to Coplton. Ryan is also a good friend of James Henry, and has importance because of this.

Earl of Touveax

The Earl of Touveax is a fantastical man from the Cueti city of Nagh, and travels more for the adventure than any other reason. It is believed that he has several secrets, and maybe very important in the future.

The Lonsan Northern Army.

Commanded by Gen. Charte Sutton, the Northern Army is the elite power in the entire region. Utilizing the new technology of gunpowder, combined with Sutton’s superior training (which seperates the NA from local Caeric gunpowder units), the NA is truly a powerful force. The Army consists of five columns of four foot soldiers each. There are two columns of riflemen, one of muskets, and two of crossbows. Each different type of weapon (rifle, musket, crossbow) has its own unit commander and a ground commander. There is a subcommander who reports to the supreme commander, Gen. Sutton. The great division of leadership allows Gen.Sutton to divide up his army at will without compromising control or efficiency. A breakdown of the military command structure of the Northern Army
