I bet a Slave 1 would be a $30 set, just like the X-wing and Sith
Infiltrator (if there are only two of them, and they keep their identities
secret, why do they have a ship named after them?)

Two things.  The Slave 1 is not a very easy ship to design well with Legos.  I
should know, I've been working on one for a few months now.  I'm not convinced
that there will be an official Slave1.  I'm also a little scared that if it is
made it will contain a lot of special curved large peices.  Actually now that I
think about it you really could make it work with just a couple of special
pieces for the base, and use non-inverted versions of boat hulls (like the ones
in the Naboo fighter) for the neck.  The front mandible can be made well with
just normal slopes.  Hmmmm....  It makes me wish I had Lego's recources.
Second thing, the canaopy of the slave one is very specialized.  The would have
to make a part that would only be used fro one set.  That seems unlikely.  What
do you guys think?  You cant use the Naboo Fighter canopy b/c it is not shaoped
right and is way to small.  Boba would be very cramped.
Check out my slave one at (I'll have better pictures and an update up soon):

(...) I'm thinkin' that the one and only Chewbacca of the entire series will be in the MF, so people will have to spend 100+ bucks to get one, but then again, that would be an awesome set, so people would buy it anyway. Greg citrusx__@yahoo.com (URL) (25 years ago, 1-Jul-99, to lugnet.starwars)
