i think that we should limit it to: up to update 99-03 (the one with the
backpack) + contest parts made avaliable on the contest web page (such as the
wing pieces and the engine piece and others).
that way cad models would not be at any great disadvantage compared to real
models because a good 90% of the important starwars parts would be available to
use in the contest. we could then allow cad models in with real models because
there would no longer be any unfairness.
there is little point in having cad models if you can't use the cool new
starwars parts.
if we make a zip file of the parts available from the entry page and let
everyone know about it then everyone is on an even footing so it would not be
unfair.
the zip file of the parts should include the parts from the sw mini vote about
to be released and a few others like the lightsaber and my mock-up of the
"at-at foot" piece fronm the sith infiltrator.
