I have come up with some categories and rules for the contest. I have
come up with 8 categories. Here they are:
Best Mini-Fig Scale Model
Best Micro-Fig Scale Model
Best Alternate Model of Official SW Lego Set (any set)
Best Official SW Lego Model Modification
Best CAD Model
Best Built Model
Best Model under 100 pieces
-A single entry can win as many catagories that it qualifies for.
-I've decided not to enter the contest myself so I'll be the judge for
the catagories :)
-An overall contest winner will be decided by popular vote.
-Only winners from the 8 catagories will be eligible for the overall
prize
-I'm thinking of only accepting votes from frequenters of this or other
lego related newsgroups to avoid someone getting everyone he/she knows
to vote for his/her model.
-Small prizes will be given out for catagory winners, and a large prize
will be given to the overall winner (maybe my Slave1 when it is
finished, whatever it is it will be something large and cool!).
Tell me what you guys think. I'm open to modifications of these rules
if it seems like a good thing to do.
I'll have a page up within the next week (or two) that will have all of
the details.

| (...) Sounds great! By "any set" do you mean that the alternate model need not be SW related, just built with parts from an SW set? Will the CAD model be based on a DAT file or on a POV rendering? If on a POV rendering, will the quality of the (...) (25 years ago, 24-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)
