Pete,  Thanks for checking out my animated space station.  I thought
it almost went by unnoticed again.  It could be smoother, but the
file would be twice as big.  Also, the bigger you make the display
window, the slower it rotates.

Seems like most people here ignored it or cannot appreciate the
engineering/originality/creativity involved.  This must be because it
does not look like anything they recognize.  (It is NOT Star Wars, a
train, castle, cathedral, building, pirate ship, chess set or Queen
Imadogga.)  Guess the "compartmentalized dorks" don't understand
non-orthogonal design. :)  Just kidding. (Vent mode - OFF)  Anyway,
I'm glad you noticed it, enjoyed it and took the time to comment on
it.

I really, really need someone to see if this works on their machine, PLEASE!
Just click the picture, set it to fit 320X200, wait for it to download, and
watch it spin around.  All comments welcome.  Thanks, Rick

Any other animations using photos?

Yeah, I know its jerky, but small.  Watch dude on top, or docked 6887s go by!
Hope you like it.

Rick

Cool Space Station!!!

Works well on my machine, almost too well. Have to really watch for the
minifig and the docked craft, as they must be pulling 5 or 6 G's with the
rotational speed ;) Love the still pics the best as you can really see the
detail. A smoother animation would be better (and less rocky).

Excellent stuff, and I can't wait to see some more of your work!!

Hey Rick I liked it too, its just hard to respond to every ng posting and every email. I a big fan of creating rotating images of models. I like being able to see a model from many angles, sort of a catalogue of images, but put together in a movie. (...) (25 years ago, 12-Nov-99, to lugnet.space)

(...) Gosh, Rick, I'm sorry I didn't take the time to stroke your ego... <smile> Actually, I enjoyed your space station animation the first time that you publicized it, somewhat over a month ago. Back then I was "read-only" on LUGNET. Didn't you (...) (25 years ago, 13-Nov-99, to lugnet.space)

(...) I saw it, and I think I told you I liked it. But if you want to impress people, you gotta make CAD-stuff, like my animations. People love ´em :-) Here´s the link to them: (URL) I don´t think people are impressed if you make a spinning cheese (...) (25 years ago, 13-Nov-99, to lugnet.space)
