My Lugnet Message Highlights

As if I didn’t have other things to do (Ph.D., Army Reserves, Work, and more importantly Family) I began a new project. Here is the announcment.

Bricks in my Pocket (BimP) now available!

(...) Content for your PocketPC or Palm is now available. I have been working hard the last few weeks creating a pocket presence for the Advanced Building Brick hobbyist. Using the new Mazingo service, I have created the new e-journal "Bricks in my (...) My thoughts on the Technic 2001 product line. WOW! Seems there was quite a discussion started here. See my updates using the thread tree.

  2001 Model

I just started following Technic Models to support my Robotics habit and have begun looking through some older catalogs. I have even purchased the Lego Tow Truck and the Space Shuttle from a couple of years past. However, I was wondering, is it me (...) (23 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

I just love the Technic Tow Truck (8462). In this message I offer my suggestions about how to obtain a kit (it should be BrickBay, not Brickwise) and my thoughts on lego pneumatics.

  Re: Pneumatics?

I would echo the sentiments of others who have replied. Save for the pneumatics pack from Lego Shop at Home, the Tow Truck is the best way to get started. Not only does it give you some great parts, it actually teaches you some very interesting uses (...) (23 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

In an effort to get more people to my robotics web page, I posted this message to numerous groups. This will be the last full scale attempt. I am also hoping to appear on the front page of Lugnet. So if you view this message and think it’s worth a look, highlight it.

  New Site

I have created a new site as a reference for educators using RoboLab in the classroom. I would love to have some of you visit the site and provide feedback. At present we have only a few examples, but we are working on adding many more. The most (...) Here are my thoughts to Todd Lehman about FTX. As you can tell I am a fan of this system and think it is a wonderful tool for education.

  Re: FTX Guide

Todd, Thanks for the quick fix. I just checked and it works great. I have to tell you that I think the whole FTX thing is a great idea. The code is easy to follow and the examples you provide are excellent. I am considering requiring my college (...) (23 years ago, 15-Mar-01, to lugnet.publish)

Here is a message I posted about the College’s first annual 2001 Lego Robotics Challenge.

  The First

As I am the first to post in the Evansville area, it seems appropriate that I should welcome all Evansville Lego Enthusiasts. I am an Associate Professor at Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana and am an avid Lego Robotics Enthusiast. Although my (...) (23 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.us.in.eva)
