Shivans
The Shivans live in the eastern hilly country around Glen Caer (sidheyn, the root of shiv, means hill). They protect the Temple of the Eternal Flame, the holiest of all Caeric sites.
Melkya Jorchi of Kundecek
| | Jorchi is competent and loving of his people. Many Shivans view him as a father figure. Born of the Black Falcon Clan, Jorchi has lived his life in service. Although he claims no higher position than melkya, he is an important figure in Caeric politics.
|
Mel Tomas of the Black Falcon Clan
| | Jorchis righthand man is Tomas, the simple, but skilled mel. Many claim that without Jorchi, Tomas would be nothing. However, Tomas has risen on his own credentials, and not as Jorchis lackey.
|
Mel Andovy of the Blue Falcon Clan
| | Andovy is a loyal follower of Jorchis, and an ardent nationalist. He is a complicated, but very intelligent man. Although not as trusted as Tomas, Andovy is Jorchis best field commander and strategic mind.
|
DaMel Tsin of the Deer Clan
| | The eldest son of rebel Sun Axieuliang, Tsin was trained at the Ixi Academy in Qinxu, and excelled in religious studies. He soon became revered for his spiritual maturity, eventually becoming the spiritual leader of all Caers, a position called the damel. Although he chooses not to live in the monastery near the Temple of the Eternal Flame, but instead amongst Adalas creations, he still commands respect and reverence. He lives a simple life, and has declared himself a pacifist, although he takes great interest in Caeric politics.
|
Melma Aidan of the Deer Clan
| | Some claim that Aidan secretly desires Tsins position as mel, but Aidan himself has shown no overt claims to such. Aidan serves as Tsins representative to Jorchi in Glen Caer, while Tsin stays at Cairn Firriney. Aidan also serves as the military mel, as Tsin is a pacifist.
|
Mel Kian Gxi of the Grey Wolf Clan
| | The second son of Sun Axieuliang, Kian also studied at the Ixi Academy. However he earned the highest honor of the warrior school, the title of gxi (valedictorian). He has since assumed control of the rebellion that his father had given birth to. Kian renamed it Cairn Firriney (Castle of Truth) to fight the Lie of Lonsan domination. Kians extreme skill with the sword (and any weapon, at that), has given the Wolves a new edge, and his rebellion recruits new members from all clans everyday.
|
Mel Ober of the Brown Wolf Clan
| | Mel Ober is much older than Kian, and fought in the rebellion of 879. Because of this, he tends to condemn Kians idealism, and offers a more realistic reaction to the Lonsans. Ober believes the Lonsans will die away, without provocation, and that rebellion will be counter productive, as it was in 879.
