Durgans
The Durgans are the oldest of the five tribes, and are the only nomads. Because of their nomadic life, they are highly decentralized, and usually do not have a syzkya (except in times of war). There is much hostility between the Durgans and the other tribes, stemming from mutual misunderstanding and mutual distrust.
Syzkya Szej son of Vitzu
| | Szej exists as syzkya as an anomaly, he does not have the complete support of his native Wurm Clan. He has built his leadership upon representing all the Durgan clans, rather than imposing one upon the others. Szej understands the special place the Durgans hold in Caerany; as the counterweight to all other tribes. He has a unique vision for the Durgans that may yet be revealed.

Syz Qobos of the Wurm Clan
| | Qobos is syz of the Wurms in opposition to Szej. The Wurm Clan is the most powerful of the Durgan clans, and yet Szej will not use this power to crush thier rivals. Qobos is not made of fine calibre leadership material, and often resorts to bottom-of-the-barrel tactics to rally support. Although his leadership is shakey, his quest for power makes him a dangerous man.

Syz Tjedos of the Bat Clan
| | Easily the most interesting of all Caeric figures in Tjedos, syz of the Bat Clan. Tjedos has been tattooed extensively, and is the only Durgan to use gunpowder weapons. He is ruthless, cruel, and efficient in his tactics, and has developed the Bat Clan into a highly dangerous group. Many however question what leadership qualities such a loose cannon as Tjedos might have, and it may be true that his cruelty may turn enemies out of his supporters.

Syz Edrik son of Ced, of the Bull Clan
| | The Leader of the Bull Clan, Edrik, ironically is the chief supporter of Szej. Edrik’s father, Ced had been instrumental in helping Szej gain the syzkyate, and Edrik is equally supportive of Szej’s plans.

Syzma Ezni Touru of the Bull Clan
| | An oddity amongst Durgan and nonDurg alike is Ezni Touru. Born into a Shivan family, he was kidnapped as a young boy and raised by Ced. Natural skill established him as a leader amongst the Bulls, and special attention from Szej has only elevated him further. Many claim that Szej is grooming him to be the next syzkya. Ezni stands as possibly the only link between Durgans and nonDurgans, a path to building peace.
