Lament on trends Trends, fashions, etcetera Written 06-19-04 By M. Aaron Hein. Simply put, this is an attack on common fashions. Ive decided to take the liberty to rile common abstractions which thrive for a short period and die hard, smitten amongst the ashes of the latest trend which anyone from elitist celebrities to street level gurus rave about. how now, to describe something epidemic, too able to see to abstract, things that are complete fallacy what everyones talking bout on the broadway that will be dead tomorrow or next week why dont we discuss things that are important instead of whats so easy to speak heres a suggestion why dont we take a stroll away from all this buzz and rave and maybe find outselves a way to see the truth, focus our eyes look for the horizon, and not some detour to the wayside its just these stories, going on and on same problem, different people, and were completely hooked to respond Im inspired, its what we always say after we turn our eyes to another place hoping for that same buzz, that fix which well hear tomorrow on the way to our destination or tricked imagination now, you never know, to reason to ask why, we stand fixated, unable to turn, to wry ourselves from these things that live and die on the moment why cant we see, whats so close, yet so far from philosophical reach what about longetivity, is it a concept forgotten or simply trendy to regard it as ill-begotten? fin... |
