The soldier’s prayer

The soldiers’ prayer

Written 03-23-03

I originally wrote this poem to express Dash’s thoughts during the terrestrial war, and the division between the soldiers of the terra. They fought against the government, to attempt to break free of tyranny shackles, joined, but failed to unite against a common cause. Their failure to pay heed to the lessons of nature allowed tyranny to blossom further.

                  Break your confines, your chains,
                    your shackles, your regrets...

                    Assimilate, fall into formation,
                  join those whom possess passion...

And forget not those souls whom
                      had died for their beliefs...

When geese fall out of formation,
their uplifting breeze raises the morale
                of their followers, creating support.

Soldiers should use this lesson on
                          the road to victory.

Pray to god for the support of your
comrades, and they shall serve the
                                      same.

And don’t be afraid to die in that
                            which you believe...
so long as it is condsidered prudent...
                                    Amen...
