Burgundy Leaves Oracle of the autumn leaf Written 08-04-04 By M. Aaron Hein. More of a haiku/really short poem more than anything, I decided to take a fresh look at a few comparisons I could make between the resilience of the autumn leaf to leave its branch to take the final voyage of its life, and the sage which clings to his sentimental ways. burgundy leaves fluttering like graceful wings as they begin their descent from nests of tangled branches, silhouettes amongst the fiery tangerine sky crinkled and worn, luminate with fiery grace their character reminiscent of the wise sage aged and worn, resilient and formidable who clings to sentimentality, yet realizes his time to approach to abandon the nest of old values and cast himself into the wind of the ever changing season to become part of what he abandoned, something greater one could ever imagine of the ever burgeoning natural spirit fin... |
