Another sonata, resentful.

Another sonata, resentful. Written 06-02-03 By M. Aaron Hein.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard the nonsense about relationships being tantamount to sales pitches. However, as shown below, we have another classic example of one party vowing for faith. Guess what, it’s hackneyed, overplayed and cliche, but who’s to care, right? Just sit back, relax and listen to it, go with this poem.

Just the moment you said
during the last instance we met
you spoke to me and with calm eyes
that life is so hectic

well, yes that’s a truth
but why you had to abandon me
to depart our separate ways
well, that reason to my memory
eludes, eschews

you say I’m a spirit, a memory slain
and dead
that buried six feet under your
conscience
without just reason to ressurect
I should say then,
that you’re off center in that respect

I call to you, plead for conversation
and what?
to live on the receiving end without

communication
recognition,
actualization
to my pleas to speak with you

what is love anyway?
Isn’t it in circumstance unconditional
or is that just a false law, like the very
robes the local priest wears
situational

We all know he’s sinned as well
so...I went out for a drink or two,
come on, you’ve done worse already!
well?

you should be lucky I’m following up on this
here’s the score
myself 1 you nothing
hey, we can arrive at a tie or something
right?

no?
jesus almighty, you’re surely adamant
going out with that rich entrepreneur
so

girl
does wealth provide
integrity, stength, courage
attributes of a leader?

brought up in arrogance
and snide
definitely not likely!

So, I’m the best choice then?

what?
so, you’re going to stick with it then?
just like that, to turn the cheek
damn
just with a notion, to severe the line of
communication

fine!
don’t cry to me when your life doesn’t work out
I tried
and failed
to somehow get your attention!
to shout
over your voice

So I’m not wealthy, so I I don’t own that
fancy porsche, I’m still handsome
doesn’t that count as something?
But nah, you just want the prestige you
conniving fox!

rabid, vapid, possessive over your stocks
foaming at the mouth in greed and no position
to change or ever stop.
Fine!

But you seem aggrivated that I persist
listen to the words of future leaders
you want me to tell you what it is
perseverance?

I bet your friend doesn’t have that
or how about this priceless little attribute
honesty
No, he doesn’t have that either
how about
valuable intelligence,
sparkling perception,
radiant direction

most likely those emanate as absent for
him as well, qualities some rarely exhibit,
much less your friend can purchase
well
guess what, unlike fancy cars, or jewely
or expensive yachts
you can’t just purchase these fine qualities
heck no, they aren’t sold to the highest bidder
they aren’t sold in your local market or
offered through your luxury catalogues and
department stores!

No,
they remain inherently innate distinguished and refined
jealous yet?
and yes, I possess them...right here, look into my eyes
and you’ll see
a man who’s worked for what he believes, not a
bunch of senseless
inheritance of wealth or corporate ownership
as that doesnt equate to a relationship!
come on!

well, maybe relationship in wealth works with some
sleazy escort service situated
under greasy city light in a contemptable district
with the full moon in light.

so how’s that for irony, eh?
what, you still aren’t moved!
What you see right there is classical entrepreneurship,
pure and simple,
a grass roots movement all for the
eyes to see right here and there!
for you
I just marketed my finest product right there
take or accept, likely you’re ensnared.
Either with myself or the enemy,
I hold in my hand two keys,
one opens a door to a true future although
unpredictable
the other unlatches reassurance and predictablity
although it’s enshrouded in true results
void and null
choose now or
forever hold your peace.
