Desert Sand

I originally wrote this poem to reflect the thoughts of Dash Dracon whilst he stands amongst the holy ruins outside of the city of Lucaria whilst the sands of the paltry desert ruffle his hair and armour, the grits biting at him like his memories of his wife, Rose, and son, Leon, whom were eliminated by intelligence agents, himself theo nly survivor of the whole discreditable affair.

Desert Sand, Reasons illegitimate Written 04-01-03

Every now and then
I hear your voice amongst
the desert wind,
beckoning,
calling me back to you
through
spiritul abyss, a portal to you.
but what can I surmise
about your voice
that makes you missed?

perhaps

your facetious ways
my passion for you
your innocent face?

no

just memories like that that come out of the blue
like the ocean swells, tides reciding like
my emotions, ambivalence both attracting
and repulsing.

my memories of you..

animosity? Maybe, but no.

just my feelings, our forays, no resents

so you died because I was alleged to have

failed to protect you and our son, whom we
conceived illigitimately

but I shed blood trying to save your welfare
and his, I leapt before you and the muzzle
of treipdation

I took the bullet, breeaved of my honour, my
integrity and will to live amongst the cotrrupt...

in this mechanized and senseless society...

and now, here I stand here amongst the desert
sand, along the paltry ashes of this great city...

longing for you to return...

while the wind calls its endless song of sorrow...

perhaps another day? Memories are both revealing
and blinding to the eyes of one’s soul.
