The Ministry of Archival Records

Editorial on the History of the Draken Syndicate.

Editorial contributed by O. Kalline Briare and R. Masahiro Shaw Blake III. Secondary commentary also presented by editor- in-chief of the IRLCC Peregrine Tribune.

This is a formatted excerpt quoted from a foreign publication.

One of the foremost tactical espionage factions in the civilized world, Draken was originally intended as a philanthropist organization to aid the technological progress of the republic, and provide students of the state lower positions on the governental committees.

Although originally created by a board of political professors from Lancaster academy, the syndicate flourished in both the political and media spotlight as some scholars even described the movement as a newfound remedy to the lagging stability of the previous democratic government, which seemed tenuous, ready to collapse into a tide of chaos at any given moment.

However, several decades after its establishment, DRAKEN soon dropped from its previous notoriety after the infamous riot of Lancaster, which overturned the original policy of the government in favour of a Mercantalist venue (in which the state would take control of all industry.) Soon after, the state began to manifest itself in remote regions of the world, which warranted an elite military faction to serve as eyes of the state (as the republic began to ever expand its boundaries procuring many resources.)

Twenty years after the oust of the previous ruler, DRAKEN once again emerged from the ashes of the former government, only to emerge as a politically hypothetical organization, a grassroots movement from its original provenance, Lancaster.

Taking into its stride, governmental affairs, leaders of the faction slowly infiltrated the governemnt and several years thereafter, the Republic of Lucaria became a spartan state with newfound aspirations.

Even before as the state had taken much control over the citizens, the state now had a firmer grasp on the populus with newer improved education programs to counter rising foreign literacy rates in third world provinces and countries.

In spite of this, over a course of twenty years, policy was so ratified to the extent that all citizens within the state now served some function to serve it, with every citizen positioned somewhere in the Military or the Ministry of Public Affairs (MPA).

Seeing the lack of capitalistic enterprise within the state, DRAKEN placed an impetus on industry to produce greater merchandise (both military and civilian) with recently procured resources from taken countries. Some democracy preservation groups Antioch, held general animosity towards the state, which led to demonstrations and riots in the next ten years of leadership.

By the twenty first century, the original government proposed by the DRAKEN had continued for well over a century, proving to enemy aggressors that a spartan state could exist in harmony with the people. (the result was a world superpower in intelligence, media, technology, resource and diplomacy.

What could only be envisioned as ‘conoisseurs’ or ‘renaissance men’ of the early Terrestrial 14th century were now readily prevalent in the general populus, with the average IQ above 170, most student excelling in systematic hacking, philosophy and theology, combat and militancy, economics and paranormal/ paraphyisical studies. Now in conjunction with the MIA (an ancillary office of the DRAKEN, and the premier venue of service in Lucaria) these elitists are the envy of the world, although few directly know of DRAKEN’s existance.
