- AAMI
- (wpn.) Anti Aircraft Military Installation-
Serving as potential mobile carriers of defense and insomniac sentinels of the skies, during the late 1970’s through the early 90’s, AAMIS held vast military superiority about the aerial regions overhead Lucaria, although with the advance of sky_sphere technology and Kasketian nest warfare, fell into oscurity at the start of the two decade war, which left the terra deeply scarred. Prior to failure on the main front, AAMIs were lauded at the time for their ability to facilitate two hundred fifty soldiers, seventy five warships and a barrage of high caliber guns, all held at the command of a single MIA officer. However, such an impressive array of defenses also compronised the mobility this heavy payload compromsed its mobility of movement, which gave KAS nests a powerful advantage over them. Ten years into the terrestrial wars, AAMIs were scrapped from the IRLCC’s military funding, only to be replaced with less bulky, WCS (Wolf Counter-Skirmish) units.
- Abio SMT
- (dev.) Abio Synthetic Myopic Transmitter-
An antiseptically produced vision rendering periphreal, the Abio Synthetic Myopic Transmitter SMT was originally developed by Military Intelligencez researchers as a form of neo-contact lens to to project sight and perform a variety of analytical tasks. Marked with the MIA’s ecletic and stringent standards of operation, SMTs now permeate the research market, eliminating the need for classical techniques of vision amelioration. Several particular highlights of the technology lie in the use of nano-mechanics and chrysalis to stimulate damaged eye tisse, hence its use with Dash Dracon, and the compatability with deviced such as Solex. However, in a drawback, which the MIA has worked to correct, SMTs drasticaly change the color of the iris, so their use can be easily perceived.
- AuraLumin
- (dev.) Aurous and Luminescent Chrysalis.-
AuraLumin, a highly luminescent material originally synthesized by Peregrine corporation for its remarkable industrial qualities, was originally bred from military funds earmarked for defense research by the Military Intelligence Agency. Albeit there were little practical applications for such a substance during its inception, AuraLumin steadily made a debut into the medical research field, where in clandestine research operations, was injected into recovering patients of both Human and Antipode races to measure adverse effects, which were devastating to the health of their cells. Minutes after injection, most of the test subjects died, and research was halted immediately. Only a few years after discarding the substance due to its low stability and seemingly useless nature, the KGF was purported to have obtained and reverse engineered several samples of AuraLumin, modifying it in such a way so as to utilize it in foreign technologies. Seeing a potential revolution with AuraLumin technologies imminent, the MIA once again provided financial incentive to researchers to synthesize other forms of essence in which to implement in technologies, and refined, to modify humans. By the year 2012, the MIA had created an entire research wing in the medical research field.
- Caliber
- (dev.) Triggered sword, Caliber-
Otherwise known as a ROSC (Research Operational Systematic Caliber) Calibers ware prevalent amongst the elite military brass of the the governmenta establishment and were devloped under the direction of MIA researchers several years after their synthesis of luminescent Auralumin as a practical military application of the material. Known as a velocity blade, these fencing weapons (usually 38” or 1. 2 meters or more in length) differ greatly from the conventional katana - given its sense of engineering idiosyncrasy, it possesses reliability in a variety of combat situations, whether underwater or in rain or sleet. The unique blade constitutes of a lightweight, high velocity vanadium based alloy with a .01 mm line of Auralumin affixed to its edge - which can be streamed with an Antipode’s CRR release using a synapse prompt. Concerning human users, a trigger and energy source could be modified to closely replicate the Antipode’s flash effect. - (adm.) Dragon Republic Anti Kasketuan Espionage Network-
One of the foremost tectical espionage factions in the world, Draken Officers are employed by the MIA and the Ministry of Public Defense. Further Summary information can be discovered at this page.
- IRLCC
- (gov.) This is the Inter-Regional Lucarian Coalition Commission-
A group of foreign and government officials who gather to discuss foerign and inter-regional affairs such as politics, trade, military affairs, peace, economics, etc, etc. Consider if the United States were to coalasce in operations with European Union. The IRLCC acts on similarity to the ONESF, a nearly universal government to the world, with equal representation on every front, save for Kasketua, one of the few dissenting republics.
- HM Theory
- (thy.) Hybrid Metamorphose Theory-
A thesis originally drawn up by researchers to epitomize exhibited manifestations of energy through Antipode subjects and the discharge thereof was at first perceived to be a wildly speculative and unrealistic theory, thrown around research gutter presses, laboratory back offices and civilian communication channels as a theory. However, faced with little research and no compelling evidence aside from the wayward remarks of assorted laureates and intellectuals, the MIA engaged in a study unfathomed for their professional level, to uncover the truth of such studies, inciting an aggressive decade long study on the cause and effects of such transformation, and the intricity of such energy released. Although credible, but still widely questioned, the theory suggested that antipodes, after taking widespread damage either incurred by foreign attacks, exhaustion or utilization of para- psionics, develop a sort of energy release gauge, one which, if overloaded, would result in the mass distribution of energy to the surroundings and the temporal transformation of the subject based on genetic makeup. During such a shift in nature, the subject’s perception would be severely altered during the duration, as though berserk. In this berserk state, a subject could engage in a massive series of defensive and offensive maneuvers, thought to be a final resort for combative purpose. Upon termination, however, the subject would return to his original state, falling unconscious and developing a tolerance to the next level of threshold. But, observed as a perk to reaching threshold, researchers noted a small boost in inteligence, skill and strength amongst the test subjects. Some statistics of interest included that in ninety percent of cases, the subject could not recall the initial transformation, although in a second wave of threshold, that number dropped to eighty five percent. MIA researchers concluded that with each additional level, the boosts to intelligence and strength contributed to a heightened echelon of demonstrated prowess to manage, control and recognize such an ability.
- LCSAC
- (adm.) Lucarian Coalition State Authority Commission-
This commission, headed by a group of sanators from the the IRCP, regulates both trade and economics, and serves as a followup of the IRLCC to investigate fraud and financial crimes. The commission, itself dispatches its own type of agents, who specialize in computer hacking and surveillance. Although a financial crime is very rare in the IRLCC, it has been knwon for assailants to get through the coalition network, and in some cases, succeed in stealing funds. The LCSAC also has a role in collecting government taxes, and distributing funds to other government agencies, as well as public mediums, such as the Lucarian Academy, and the CEA. The LCSAC mostly handles treasury issues, though, and the internal banking system.
- KAS
- (gov.) Kasketuan Authority-
This authoritative commission, which reaches out to the people of Kasketua under threat of force, is among one of the more ruthless empires in history. Headed by the Totalitarian Dictator, Piel Guarde, the Fascist Kasketua Authority has been linked to the deaths of hundreds of IRLCC commissionary soldiers and inter-regional envoys. Although the KAS is strictly isolationist, it has been known to conduct trade with the brutal ISP Union, but this fact hasn’t been formally verified by the MIA. In short, the Kasketuan Authority, along with Guarde has aspirations of worldly domination, and the destruction of the IRLCC. Why Guarde seeks this goal is unknown. Perhaps it deals with personal amimosity towards the wealth of the republic, or the terrestrial wars which scarred Terra over period of two decades.
- KGF
- (adm.) Kasketuan Guard Faction-
This agency, epitomized by the governments of he skies as a terror harbouring organization, little is currently known of the KGF other than its role as the premier venue of foreign intelligence, and its reputation for political malfeasance. Supposedly headed by Piel Guarde, there have been records of KGF inolvement in multiple assassinations of Lucarian public officials and KAS dissidents, primarily the high profile case of Ludandrian Blake’s assassination in the year 2003. However, with its abstruse nature and clandestine operations, there is currently no solid evidence to its existence other than hearsay on the part of dissidents.
- Mantis
- (wpn.) Conceptual weapon-
This insect inspired craft, which completely overshadows the failed MMAS systems was originally drawn up by conniving terrestrial engineers, whom saw an impetus for full perception operating systems. Originally intended to provide aerial and ground support to Kasketuan gunners, the mantis serves more purpose than this, and has been known for its boundless abilities, and its VTOL effects in battle, which allow it to mobilize quickly, and escape from apprehensive situations. The central armor pod, a small system of complex nano rechnologies allow the wearer to bind consciousness with the suit, allowing for a flexable neuronic control system and unparalled ‘innate’ manipulation of the craft. Connected via probes and countless sensors, communication can be conducted simultaneously to focusing full attention to the surrounding environs, allowing them to switch perception at their discretion. Employed and engineered by the KGF, utilizing Lucarian AuraLumin technology, mantises prove a formidable weapon against the floating city, routinely utilized to contribute to counting IRLCC losses. Recent studies by the MIA have turned up “augmented” mantises, which can fuse consciousness even further than the standard model.
- MIA
- (adm.) Military Intelligence Agency-
Members of the Military Intelligence Agency, which represent the IRLCC, tend to be senior members of the citizenry force, however, also investigate foreign affairs, espionage charges, and take arbitration opine into effect, whilst dealing with government mercantalist interests. Of course, theoretically, one could enunciate all members of the government constitute the MIA, due to the inherent fact any member of the citizenry between the ages of 7-60 are in some way, affiliated with some aspect of the militancy, as Lucaria is a Spartan state. - MMAS
- (wpn.) Mobile Mech Armored Suit-
A weaponry suit originally created as a military staple by the MIA for the purpose of reconaissance and air to air combat, had recently fallen to the back burner for reasons of its superfluous utilizations and lack of battle application. Intended to instill trepidation into advancing forces, MMAS proved rather unfeasable in comparison to KGF mantises, as demonstrated in the massacre of Ludanberg, where even with the deployment of such suits, they easily fell to advancing forces with general ease. Mobile suits have received much contreversy amongst the inter-regional development community, particularly with technology experts, most whom agree that the prospect of fighting robots seems ludicsous as best. Most models are now reduced to scrap piles or confined to private museum collections.
- ONESF
- (gov.) Oceanic Nations Empirical Space Force-
During the late fall of 2246, after several decades of serious reform and two virulent wars which left much of earth in severe dissonance, the terrestrial governments of earth sought reconciliation and found it within a group of one hundred twenty seven leaders of the world, whom converged to meet at the Oceanic Conferance. During this meeting, a contract was signed in which would be considered a century later as a most significant occurance; the forming of a world class government between Europe and the Americas. This coalition, known as the Oceanic Nations, quickly became known for its stringent production tactics and massive development in research and technology, particularly in the aerospace field, which led to human colonization outside of earth and widespread public space transit. By the year 2380 (terrestrial year 1880), ONESF has expended its influence even farther by generating one of the first gate systems, the ring of fire, to connect one of its many subsidary networks. Soon thereafter, ONESF established cordial relations with the IRLCC after conducting a research landing in the Terra system. To date, two centuries after this initial contact, both governing forces have strongly strayed from the notion of a coalasce, but regularly engage in business.
- Para-Psionics
- (.exe) Environ Manipulation, energetic resonance-
Para-Psionics, a phenomena officially observed by sporadic medical research labs as a perfected form of environmental menipulation, has been the center of countless debate and controversy over the laws of nature and their implementations. Identified formally by the MIA as ‘para-psionics’, the army has repeatedly employed researchers to devise manners in which the common soldier could wield such abilities, only to a negate. Possessed by Antipodes and Hybrid variants, the theory goes that summoning such prowess involves the combined factors of harmonic cell resonance and channeled energy from the encompassing environment. However, that is hardly the case. Para-psionics deals with a users subconscious hacking into the centric system to bend the natural laws to one’s dispositon. This infringement on the system ocnducted by a series of acoustic prompts in combination with resonance. Even with mass research to derive the central component in channeling such abilities, the prospect of generating and ingraining these abilities into solid code has never formulated to the MIA, although their utilization of SEAs has been known to increase the puissance and amplitude of Para-psionic abilities.
- Peregrine Corporation
- (cpy.) State subsidized defense corporation-
Peregrine Defense Corporation, supported primarily by the Military Intelligence agency can be easily compared to the Boeing company, a long contract to the USESF. Established more than a century before Lucaria’s ascent for power, Peregrine has been noted in the development of counter terraneous vehicles, advanced weaponry systems, sustenance agents, mobile technology and medical research. Athough ancillary to the MIA, Peregrine also holds responsibility for distributing technology to citizens via family quota programs.
- ROFGS
- (dev.) Ring of Fire gate system-
Established by the Oceanic Nations after a necessitation in the research field for quick, reliable and feasible transit between astronomically long distances, the ROFGS was first drafted by engineers to take advantage of a still speculative theory known as black matter displacement, which suggested that every 24 seconds, a portion of space would immediately shift to another locale, then rebound backwards in another 24 seconds. Interesting enough, these portions have been identified in small series throughout space, and in this locale, gates established to further channel the speed of transit. (travel could be done in as little as 1/24th of a second.) Immensely successful in capitalizing over the theory, ONESF and IRLCC forces now utilize the gate for purpose of transit between the governments, although by the year 2200 the gate crashed due to a lack of maintenance.
- SAAS
- (adm.) State Affairs and Archival Service-
This commission, headed by the IRLCC, serves both the purpose of following up reports and tips of espionage to the Central Security Council, and monitoring which information is restricted to government hands, and which goes to the people. Although it is not exactly censorship, the SAAS tries to keep sensitive information out of enemy hands, such as military information, protptype and research reports, enemy weapons profiles, and other military secrets. The SAAS guarantees freedom of the press, a stance headed by Sergio Aurant, but keeps a watchful eye on sensitive information that may be deemed useful by enemy forces. The SAAS is headed by a group of competent, educated citizens, who fully review and discuss an issue before it is forwarded to the head commissioner.
- SAIA
- (loc.) Standard Aptitude Interest Assessment-
This prelimenary test, created by the IRLCC and LCSAC Board of Aptitude has been utilized to its fullest extent by the Lucarian Government Military Academy for the last ten years. This test, comprised of sections revolving around military and government information determines the destiny and government position of the student who takes it. Since all citizens of the IRLCC either work for the government, economy or military, the IRLCC uses this test to besically determine which function the student would assume should they pass this test. This has been extremelly successful in finding future leaders, and has led to a steep work force output by citizens, stipulating economic standards.
- SEA
- (.dev) Sustenance Enhancement Agents-
Yet another offspring of illegitamate MIA research, the original notion of Sustenance Enhancement Agents was to create a conduit of some sort to deliver nourishment and protection to the soldier on the field with minimized application costs, both in time and resource. Manufactured in such a sense as to be the future generation and wave of battlefield rations, SEAs were first beta tested during the two decade terrestrial wars, and as the fruit of the ingenuity of the MIA’s medical research wing, emerged a tremendous success. Now considered standard within the MIA Civilian and Tactical action corps, SEAs were conceived to operate in a simplistic fashion, comprised of a small glass vial filled with .6cc of an agent. By loading the vial into a standard state issued handgun extension, by theory, an ultra fine mist sprayed from the device would instantly enter the bloodstream with minimal pain and a hasty effect. Now more than twenty years into application, a variety of SEAs exist on the military, civilian and medical market, and research still runs rampant.
- Sniper Wolves
- (.adm) Sniper Wolf continguincy-
Traned as a sniper wolves, inductees were forced into a wide variety of military conflicts, and were established under an oath of near silence, during the infancy of the animosity between the eastern powers and that of the western, which occured during the late 17th century after the introducton of the Oceanic Nations (ONESF)..Former as a counter-insurgency an espionage force, Wolves existed under a strong oath of silence that was only to be broken when addressed by superiors or moments before death, in which case would mutter a sacred kasketuan Haikuu, which existed as a verse from their Christian bible. Early inductees into the program were schooled in a wide variety of topics, ranging from linguistics to mathematics and computer electronics then progressed into advanced regions in short periods of time. As noted, the original aim of the program was to generate a new breed of intellectuals into the Kasketuan Society, who could possibly resuscitate it from its previous tired and distressed state, but this task quickly diverged, left for retired agents who renounced their silence. Two classes of individuals existed in Kasketua, Banshees and Wolves: the former were schooled just as rigorously as Wolves, but did not serve under an oath of silence (hence, they played a vital role in society.) Wolves, just as intelligent (in the late 170’s) served to forfend societal values. Hence, intifadas against insurgents were quite common on their part.
- Solex
- (.exe) Psionic transmission device-
Solex was originally intended as a psionic transmission device utilizing both chrysalis and nano-networking as a medium, which would measure amplitute waves generated by the mind and relay them at will to a recipient, no matter the distance. Insucceptible to interferance of any sort, Solex was hardly the invention of humans, but rather the incarnation of a commnication network between the operation system and its applications, namely seeds, antipodes and all others whom possess its execution program. Utilized by some MIA researchers as a particularly convenient and unhackable server, it has been established in countless cases as a secure government line for those auspicious few implanted with chrysalis.
- Terra
- (loc.) Terra No.12.-
Long regarded as the birthplace of humanity, the verdant planet known as Terra has a similar mass and size to that of earth, explaining its similar duration of rotation. Although in age much younger than its earthly counterart, Terra once resembled that of a massive ocean until violent contact with debris from the surrouinding galaxies several in the scope of several thousand years carved valleys and and continents into its landscape. In recorded history, earliest activity resided within the vast regions of Lucaria, and a archipelago known for its fertile fields, affably known as Albatross. In terms of history, is not currently known as to when humans first set foot on Terra, or that human life had actually originated there. Most recorded history points towards the evolutionary theory, as reinforced by Darwinism and the transplant theory which suggests humans were carried from earth and set in Terra by divine or outside intervention. However, most researchers regard the latter as completely ludicrous. In the recent three centuries, Terra’s first contact with the outside world, namely a ONESF advance exploration crew, led to massive acceleration in terms of technology and culture, although during the first contact which occured circa 1756, both ONESF soldiers and Terrans were surprised at each other’s progression in terms of technology. (At the point in which ONESF landed, Terrans had already developed aeronautical technologies, steel industries, guns, literature, medicine, agriculture, and a centralized political and philosophical theory. Today, Terra holds residence to a highly diverse society, although twenty years of fighting between its inhabitants has left it deeply scarred.
