Characters from Anchronistic Skies

These records provide detailed overviews.

Here, you’ll find an extensive information archive for each character on chapters Two through Seven and Eight through Twelve (the second volume not due for completion until next year, at its latest.) Anyway, I have decided to organize this volume by chapter instead of alphabetical order for the sake of keeping information relevant.

Chapter Two Characters.

D. Dracon

* (ch.) Dash
* (ri.) Ofc. Dash Dracon
* (ag.) 28
   * (hai.) Vermillion/ gold
* (dft.) Two different coloured eyes
* (dev.) Caliber, Cobra model 9.14/ chrysalis make
* (prv.) Lucaria, as thought
* (pdr.) Hybrid.

A mysterious young man who was supposedly found washed ashore one of the beaches of the island republic of LaGuardia (still unknown if the story is true), Dash Dracon awakes after the fateful night at the MIA PR building to find himself in a remote and foreign setting as far as imaginable from Lucaria. From a young age, Dracon was exposed to readings and history of the natural terraneous world, but had never truly met it eye to eye until now, which may explain as to why he continually wonders if this world is simply a dream or just an illusion set to mislead him. In this sense, he seems rather skeptical of his allies, making a point early on the story to keep to himself. Perhaps fortunately, he fails to do so with a young woman by the name of Kimiahn, whom serves as his guide through this foreign world. Sooner or later, though, Dash figures out the truth to his wherabouts, which prompts him to take a long and arduous odyssey to somehow find his way to his homeland. Of course, the passage is plagued with reminisces to his past, traces and fragments of his previous world, conflicts with his allies, tests of his faith and questions of understanding and existence. Not to mention this, and his forced role as a deacon, a religious figure, when news spreads of his markings and miraculous actions.

S. Rinehart

* (ch.) Skye Rinehart
* (ri.) Pr. Skye Talinia Irving Rinehart the 14th
* (ag.) 19
   * (hai.) Black
* (dft.) Seemingly of latino descent
* (dev.) Feathered staff
* (prv.) Sum’mit LaGuardia
* (pdr.) Antipode “Rinehart” strain

The daughter of residing Kai Ne’Hr patriarch Talonis Rinehart, and acolyte hopeful in training, Skye had been trained from her earlier years to tenaciously follow the traditions of the Ahrikari tribe, although she was never very enthused to observe those formalities. Responsible for finding Dash washed ashore of south LaGuardia’s beaches, and chasing away a pack of wolves which nearly left him Dash, Skye helped to care for Dash for the day he lie in recovery, occasionally praying for him. Throughout the story, she drifts through an emotional rollercoaster with the death of her kin and a ‘holy conflict’ which finally erupts after decades of suppression. Although she is immensely haughty and her relationship with Dash best described as ambivalent, her experiences as a healer and her political connections make her an advisable choice for accompanyment. Throughout the journey, she acts on her own terms and talents, and her ambition glares far more puissantly than her father’s.

K. Serpentius

* (ch.) Kimiahn Serpentius
* (ri.) Commander Kimiahn Serpentius
* (ag.) 25
   * (hai.) Blond
* (dft.) None
* (dev.) Lance, or bow
* (prv.) Faiye
* (pdr.) Most likely human

A regional commander over LaGuardia’s lagging military forces and a kind hearted director, Kimiahn aided in saving Dash from Rapijn’s attack shortly after he recovered, altering the conflict to the reptilian Koreii. Although she is quite gregarious, Dahs perceives her at first to be a tad invading on his part and attempts to notion her away with no success. After an instance in which he was forced to fend off an assassin’s attack on Kimiahn, Dash finds that they have very much in common, especially in military interests and grows to welcome her company, although still a bit distant. In terms of talents, Kimiahn’s specialties lie in creature biology, leadership and working with machines, and oddly enough, in clandestine dealings. However, at an early point of the story, neither Dash or Skye are aware of her intents. Kimiahn is by nature, kind hearted and gragarious, but she often comes into confliction with the likes of Scorpio.

S. Vagrant

* (ch.) Scorpio Vagrant
* (ri.) Ph. Scorpio Allis Vag’rant
* (ag.) 16
   * (hai.) Black, with blue streaks
* (dft.) Navy eyes
* (dev.) Pair of daggers, claws
* (prv.) Unknown, most possibly Faiye
* (pdr.) Human

When Dash encounters this young man after he falls victim to a brutal attack to apprehend him in a desolate alleyway, Scorpio thanks him immensely, although Kimiahn immediately recognizes the young teen to be a fugitive wanted by the state for fradulant, yet petty operations. Highly intelligent for his age and decisively quick in action, Kimiahn decides to ignore his bounty in return for a pledge of his services, which are found to be quite useful in the long run. Scorpio has very well-placed experience in the apothecary profession and knows every aspect of thievery. Although Scorpio is often misunderstood by the state and the higher class as a hateful thug, in reality, he is usually witty and jovial, piercing and humorous, and quite persuasive.

Koreii

* (ch.) Koreii
* (ri.) Ansai Koreii
* (ag.) late 30’s-50’s?
   * (hai.) None
* (dft.) Very heavy build
* (dev.) Horned lance
* (prv.) ?
* (pdr.) Reptilian

An officer secondary in command over Kimiahn and organizer over LaGuardia’s ill-fashioned army of 1200, Koreii seems to be an admirable officer who respects honor, demonstrating this when he finds hismelf to hold his impulsive friend Rapijn back after he attempts to kill Dash in an emotional rage. Oddly enough, for a soldier of his size and strength, Koreii fails to display hostility unless needed, making him a formidable ally, and an ideas replacement as commnder.

Rapijn

* (ch.) Rapijn
* (ri.) Falle Rapijn
* (ag.) early 30’s?-50’s
   * (hai.) None
* (dft.) Medium buid, but very muscular
* (dev.) Claws
* (prv.) ?
* (pdr.) Reptilian

A young and inexperienced reptilian soldier who expresses his unfettered emotion over the death of his kin during the Gariland Wars, Rapijn harnesses a great deal of animosity and vindiction towards the world, eventually going to the extent to focus it on Officer Dash Dracon in a bloody altercation outside of South Kalin. He possesses the perfect attributes of a physically fit soldier, although he is in fervent defense of the honor of himself and his ancestors. After Koreii’s interception to his emotional fury, he remains crushed emotionally, another casualty of the campaign which divided Albatross.

Chapter Three Characters...

J. Maxwell

* (ch.) Jade Maxwell
* (ri.) Noble officer Jade Norbert Maxwell
* (ag.) 23
   * (hai.) Dark rubicund
* (dft.) None apparent
* (dev.) Rapier
* (prv.) Most likely LaGuardia
* (pdr.) Human

A generally respected politician of the LaGuardia aristocracy and an outspoken member of the imperial court, Jade Maxwell possesses the noble qualities of the distinguished statesman and in the presence of his admirers and fellow senators exhibits a nonchalant and cunning attitude. It seems he is especially courteous towards Partiarch Rinehart and his daughter, although his honorable conduct is later revealed to be ‘engineered camaraderie’ in the interests of friendly persuasion to gain political favors. As an adopted young man schooled by the LaGuardia aristocracy, Jade was raised in a rather prodigal setting but garnered envy over the ascension of the ranks of his peers and the negligable progression of his designation, which led to his concentrated animosity over the establishment. Preceding the dramatic fall of LaGuardia during the end of chapter three, Jade reveals his true nature as a haughty and aggressive tyrant when he bickers with Rinehart regarding a question concerning the possibility of attaining legitimate leadership over the republic. Aggrivated over the truth, he assassinates the patriarch and proceeds to spread insurrection throughout the republic, allowing his underground followers (industrialists) and ideologues to seize control in a revolution which overtakes the state. In terms of belief, Jade is exceptionally passionate in his religious convictions and political doctrines, and would not hesitate to take up the sword against his opponents.

M. Raleigh

* (ch.) Colonel Raleigh
* (ri.) Lt.Colonel Merra Raleigh
* (ag.) 42
   * (hai.) Grey with black streaks
* (dft.) scar on forehead
* (dev.) Ornamental lance
* (prv.) South Kalis, LaGuardia
* (pdr.) Human

The presiding commander over the oceanic militia of LaGuardia and the only superior military officer above Kimiahn, Merra Raleigh monitors many of the LaGuardian operations from his post within the magistrate, although his appearances on the field and before his officers are few and far between. There are only several instances in which Merra Raleigh appears throughout the early portion of the story, but in those instances he seems loyal to Rinehart’s policies and to observing the Akael theory. Raleigh, of course, is very low on the hierarchy scale, so his prominence on the political stage is rather limited, if not, obscure. Shortly spoken, Merra commands as a lapdog to the state, and ineffectual at best.

T. Rinehart

* (ch.) Talonis Rinehart
* (ri.) Res.Pr.Se Talonis Rinai Rinehart
* (ag.) 53
   * (hai.) Silver
* (dft.) Has piercing blue eyes
* (dev.) 24” rapier
* (prv.) Sum’Mit LaGuardia
* (pdr.) Antipode “Rinehart” strain

As Skye’s father and the presiding priest over the LaGuardia religious establishment (Sensei), Rinehart has established a great deal of nicely found reputation over the years as being a fair and honest man, and a devout follower of his ‘Akael’ interpretation, which suggests that the presiding draconic deity, Akael Me’Han had intended to the state to be free willed, not forced to adhere in nature to the religious decrees. However, much of LaGuardia under him plays following to the ‘Kil’iahn theory’ of a wanted militaristic state and religious following. Some of his understudies have found his honesty to be a weak trait, resulting in many conflicts over his authority above the magistrate. Nonetheless, Rinehart, the optimist, spends much of his free time holding conversations with the general population and of course, squiring young Skye in a moralistic fashion. In terms of relation, Rinehart is the cousin of President of Faiye, Ludan Lockeheed, however the extent of his immediate family is unknown to the populus.

A.K. Pyre

* (ch.) Argent Pyre
* (ri.) Ofc. Argent Kaine Pyre
* (ag.) 46
   * (hai.) Black with grey
* (dft.) Wizened face, aged
* (dev.) Flamberge
* (prv.) Faiye
* (pdr.) Human, full strain

Once serving as a dutiful noble and graduated army officer on President Ludan Lockeheed’s imperial court and a outspoken politician during his early years, Argent’s future seemed on a certain path to political prowess with personal promises of leadership from Ludan and a general sense of confidence he exhibited on and off the imperial stage. A highly popular and well liked man, Argent nonetheless garnered disrespect and controversy from the order of the Falcon parish for his comments regarding religious freedom and the cathedral’s reported conspiracies to purge heathens. This of course, turned out to be a massive error on his part and possibly the stab in the back to his career, and the killing wound was only stuck further by the efforts of the cathedral, when they presented ‘evidence’ that Argent had dabbled in illegal technology and religious doctrines. He was soon forced to resign by Ludan, who, backed by the church, sent him into exile shortly before the state issued an infitada for his incarceration. Is is rumored Argent played party to anarchism and nihilism during his twenty year exile, and is unknown as to why he recently surfaced in LaGuardia, although it seems he wished to protect Rinehart, who still distrusts him. It is later found out that Rinehart was the one and only person who would consider his pleas for vindiction. Now a highly cynical, evasive and spiteful man, Argent spends much of his timing ranting about the injustices of Faiye, and exhibits a lone wolf attitude very similar to that of Dash. Normally, he is ill-mannered and argumentative, which explains Skye’s immense dislike of him in her company, for she is his theoretic and ideological opposite.

Chapter Four Characters...

A. Aston

* (ch.) Andrew Aston
* (ri.) Professor Andrew Aston
* (ag.) 23
   * (hai.) Black
* (dft.) None
* (dev.) Bolt action Rif’el
* (prv.) Mostl ikely LaGuardia
* (pdr.) Antipode.

A fellow collegian to Skye and a fitting rival to her academic interests, Professor Astone graduated in the same class as the acolyte-to-be from the Militancy Academy of LaGuardia and over the years proved to be quite the stunning man in the halls of academia. Aston is widely known for his shrewd and unforgiving nature with lecturing the unruly, and has ascertained a sense of notoriety for his distribution of politically slanted pamphlets and zealous speeches ranging from military maneuvers to religious and political commentaries, some of them criticizing Rinehart for his occasional follies in policy. Despite this, he had generally Lukewarm receptions from the administration, and it was not until following Jade’s violent revolution that the fearless professor was expelled from the Militancy academy and exiled to the province of Faiye. Post-exile, the professor with his connections, received a short lived, provisional post on Ludan’s nine member cabinet. However, the rivalries between Skye and Aston and the professor’s condescending nature are puissantly nascent during several private meetings with Ludan’s council. His relations between the rest of the counci, however, are regarded as quite cordial in nature.

C.W Beaumont

* (ch.) C.W Beaumont
* (ri.) Gen. Director Calvin Westerfield Beaumont
* (ag.) 46
   * (hai.) Blond
* (dft.) None
* (dev.) Rapier
* (prv.) Faiye
* (pdr.) Human, most presumably

The presiding commander over the Faiye Intelligence Network and an ancillary director over Feyrian armed forces, C.W Beaumont emerged from a rather violent background as a known and virulent dissenter to the religious causes of the Ahrikari and that of the Kil’ahne theory, using his position as a scholar at Dragonia to propogate his views. By the age of twenty, he became the center of an ongoing underground and backroom debate of the dominant Kai Ne’Hr faith and the target of many removal attempts, one of which eventually succeeded after ten long years. After being systematically banned from Dragonia, C.W found himself a lowly position working for a Feyrian gutter press which spread a Ti’ahmat-Friendly doctrine and denounced the hard line Kil’ahne interpretations. After several years as writer and eventual editor, his writings subtly gained the interest of the state, which. under the still recent administration of Ludan, who held a dominant akael parts, was looking far and wide for competent and intelligent citizens to fill the ranks. A strong willed, assidious and kindhearted man at heart, Beaumont can usually be found either delving into his studies or trading illuminating debates with his colleagues, although his primary devotion is to his intellgience office which he has quite successfully overseen and strengthened for the past decade of office.

L.A Lockeheed

* (ch.) Ludan. A. Lockeheed
* (ri.) President Ludan Arthur Lockeheed
* (ag.) 52
   * (hai.) Black
* (dft.) Amber eyes
* (dev.) Rapier
* (prv.) Faiye
* (pdr.) Antipode

Holding the current office as president over the republic of Faiye, Ludan Arthur Lockeheed has maintained a firm consensus over the conciliate for a majority of his role as potentate, as the tripartisan conciliate were mostly filled with moderates, which has allowed him to pursue his agenda without the sharp division his predacessor, Wilhelm, experienced while in office. A taciturn and sharp man, Ludan spends much of his time within the conciliate studying law, debating on his councils or participating in diplomatic missions, and seems overtly patriotic. However, he also exhibits a darker side, seeming to harbor a disliking to the republic of LaGuardia as well as his cousin Talonis Rinehart, and seems at times, worrisome and depressed. However, even being the kin of Rinehart, Ludan receives Skye as one of his own, even during an internal conflict which contested his authority, showcasing his hospitality and concern for familial relations.

F. Poyle

* (ch.) Frederick Poyle
* (ri.) Pr.Gen Frederick Howard Poyle
* (ag.) 67
   * (hai.) None
* (dft.) Wizened face
* (dev.) Rapier, most likely
* (prv.) Faiye
* (pdr.) Human pedigree

Serving as the presiding and brilliant general over the Feyrian Military and a prominent member of Ludan Lockeheed’s cabinet of nine officials, Poyle is best known for his heroic role in a decisive battle of the Gariland war, which drafted the political situation in Albatross for decades to approach. Although at times soft-spoken and a spectator, he has developed a reputation for his role in harsh dabate and raising the morale of his colleagues with his wishful and prudent advice. At times, he is quite stern and ambitious, and exhibits these traits with puissance during his meeting with Jade, which concludes Chapter Five.
