Hello all, This is the first time i have posted to Lego Trains and hope someone out there can help me. I have recently purchased a very large tain set consisting of 3 7740 sets 2 what appear to be red transport engines and several cargo trains and (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jan-02, to lugnet.trains)

Thanks Larry, I will have to try and find out were the sell the tubing now my next big quest, i want to keep the trains original and since i have over 600 pieces of track i would like to stay with the 12v system. Thanks for your help. Craig Roberts (22 years ago, 6-Jan-02, to lugnet.trains)

Hi Ben, Thanks very much for the tip i will go to my local bike shop and hunt for the tire, and yes the train sets are nice i have never really been into trains before but now i am going crazy re-building my town to accomadate the trains. Take care (...) (22 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.trains)

Just a few notes about the playmobil tires. They do fit around the large red wheels. (not the small ones on 7740) Sorry for the confusion. I have fitted them on my 4-4-0 that uses these wheels and they seem to work good. Maybe even to good, now my (...) (22 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.trains)

To Derek,Ben,Larry, Thanks for all your assistance in my wheel question. I purchased a bicycle tyre as suggested by Ben and it works great, i have no problems and can make about 100 sets for $10.00 so a bargain, thanks again for all your help and (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.trains)

Hi Ben, I cut the tube with a small hobby knife just a razor blade with a handle really, first few were a little bit wide but about but now are perfect, i washed the tube first and removed the talc, only problem have had so far was my train got up a (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.trains)
