Yesterday, I conducted a tactical assault on the Lego Outlet store
here in Georgia.

One of the things I bought was a Darth Vader minifig keychain,
just to answer the question, "Is his head printed?"

After a few minutes armed with my pliers/pocketknife/multi-tool,
I had snapped off the chain and removed his helmet,
answering this question -- "Yup, he's got a printed face."

Now, for my contribution to the CastleWorld project,
I've been building an undead army, and this head
is very useful for this project.

Since these keychains are only four bucks (US),
that's a heckuvalot cheaper than buying the Y-Wing/DV's-TIE-Ftr set.

Oh, BTW, the cloak is the same size and shape
as the regular fabric cloaks in the Lego Star Wars sets,
but is of cheaper/lowsier fabric (but still useful
for a vagabond, pilgrim, or thief).

I just thought I'd share this info with y'all.

Thanks,
Franklin

Franklin,

So the helmet is not glued on?  I may have to pick up some of these.

Nope...  It's *bolted* on.

There's this screw/bolt stuck *through*
the helmet and head, and into the minifig's neck.

Like I said, I was able to *snap*off* part of the bolt,
enough to be able to remove the helmet and head.

(The head is still quite usable, although
I'd recommend that you top it with something
in order to obscure the defacement
that the top stud suffered from the bolt.
The helmet, OTOH, has a *hole* in it.)

One of the things I bought was a Darth Vader minifig keychain,
Are they still doing the free brick keychain deal?

After a few minutes armed with my pliers/pocketknife/multi-tool,
In the future, I think you will find that if you give it a slow steady pull,
the chain part will come out of the minifig without any damage.  I've removed
the chains from two like this without much trouble.
