Well, I'm not an AFOL myself, but like the rest of LUGNET, I have plenty of
hobbies outside of LEGO. What's best about these, are that I can directly
implement them into my creations, and use them as inspiration for future models.
Here's a few of my hobbies.
Drawing- This is by far one of my favorite hobbies. I like to render
scenery, characters, weapons designs, equipment and vehicles of all sorts,
using a ball point pen (it adds that sketchy effect, and I can change the
line tone as much as I want, can't do that with pencil.)
A lot of them are either Sci fi of fantasy oriented and
revolve around a novel I'm writing as of now.
Writing- A truly noble hobby of mine, and probably at the top of my list. I
spend a few hours daily working on my story (science fiction meets fantasy.)
and I'm somewhere far into the series. The novel itself is about a Agent by
the name of Dash who works for a inter-regional secret service, and gets
caught up in a terrorism ring, then (hey! can't spoil the story here, but If

RPG- Aaagh! This is the best! The story I'm writing is an RPG, and I'm
trying to make my own RPG game out of it. (by vhanging character
circumstances and the storyline) I like to play RPGs of all sorts, but I
haven't got my chance to play a board game version. Anyone got an idea on
how to do this?!
Running- I like to run long distances, 'nuff said.
Reading- I'll read just about anything, so long as it's Fantasy or Science-
Fiction. I absolutely can't resist books, and love to read mythology and
older works from the 19th century, and some books on artisanship and
chemistry, as well as others of given interest.
Animation- Have you ever tried drawing cartoon characters on paper, and then
making your own cartoons? Fun stuff, it is. Mostly, though, I draw comic
strips, and my own cartoon characters, based on my story, the Draken Chronicles.
Anyway, just my two brickz,

| (...) In an excercise designed to not get further replies, I'm certainly making a lot. :-) My art instructors singularly loathed anything done in (gasp) ball point pen. But to make you feel better, I saw a whole animated film done with ball point (...) (22 years ago, 15-Mar-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)
