May God be with all the victims of this terrible tragedy that has effected
not only America, but the world. Here are some updates:

-tonight's Latin Grammys have been canceled
-all MLB games have been canceled
-50 domestic flights still in the air are being permitted to land in the US
-Walt Disney World theme parks closed
-7 flights bound from Asia which are too far away to turn back are being
diverted to Haiwaii.
-22 flights bound from Europe to New York City, Boston, Detroit, Miami, and
Los Angeles that are past Greenland (which means they cannot turn back) are
being permitted to land. All the rest (ones which have not travelled past
Greenland) are being forced to turn around, as Canada's airports cannot
handle all the traffic. They are likely to land in Ireland, Finland, and
Iceland.
-Lufthansa German airlines has grounded all trans-Atlantic flights from
Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich, and Dusseldorf to not only thier 14 US
destinations, but Vancouver, Toronto, Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires,
Caracas, Bogota, and Rio de Janiero.
-Air Canada and WestJet have suspened all flights.
-4 Iberia Airlines flights bound from Central America to Miami have been
diverted to the Caribbean
-All flights bound from Latin America to US are either turning back or
landing in the Caribbean
-Downtown Miami has been closed down, including all private and public
buildings, stores, and office towers. Some apartments being evacuated.
Pretty much only thing running is the subway. With the shut-down of Wall
Street, Miami's Brickell Avenue is the largest financial district in the
United States, and you can imagine the precautions they are taking.
-In Chicago, Sears Tower evacutated
-In Seattle, Space Needle evacuated
-All sksycrapers closed in Minneapolis, Boston, San Francisco, and Clevland,
among other cities.

  Plane crash in New York?

To All, I just heard a plane crashed into the World's Trade Center. However, none, and I mean none, of the internet sites seem to be connecting! (Fox News, CBS, ABC, CNN, etc.) Does anyone know anything? I don't consider this fun, but it seems the (...) (23 years ago, 11-Sep-01, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)
