Old LEGO Daca stuff in your closet?

We have a bunch of kids in our school who have been having a great time building stuff with two old LEGO Dacta (PC Controlled, wired) set of parts. Many of them are 1st to 3rd grade, and usually don't get to do our Mindstorms LEGO projects yet. But (...)   Re: An alternative? (WAS: Technic's only in a coma (WAS Technic's Dead ))

No, I live about 1 1/2 hours drive from the store. I don't think they are allowed to ship outside Canada, if I'm not mistaken. Matthias Jetleb (22 years ago, 17-Sep-02, to lugnet.lego.dacta)

Re: Anyone know how speedy Pitsco Dacta is?

(...) Interesting. Of course I haven't been home today, so maybe it showed up while I've been here at work, but it's now been... 9 days since I ordered them (6 business days) and nothing yet... (11 days if you count the Saturday I ordered plus (...) (22 years ago, 1-Oct-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shipping, lugnet.lego.dacta)

Re: Anyone know how speedy Pitsco Dacta is?

(...) Perhaps by a day or so, Pitsco is slightly slower than Shop At Home. My last order was about 9 months ago and I was happy with the shipping time as I have been with all previous orders. I have never placed huge or complicated orders, just (...) (22 years ago, 1-Oct-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shipping, lugnet.lego.dacta)

Re: Anyone know how speedy Pitsco Dacta is?

(...) I've found that Pitsco is significanly slower than LEGO Direct. Most of the orders we place for the college end up taking twice as long as an order from LSAH. Steven B.   Anyone know how speedy Pitsco Dacta is?

Ordering from Shop @ Home is great. Especially living in Massachusetts. My world record for speed was actually (technically) the next day after I ordered it. However, I've never ordered from Pitsco Dacta before, until this past Saturday, when I (...) (22 years ago, 30-Sep-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shipping, lugnet.lego.dacta)

Re: New PITSCO LEGO Educational Division catalog

All: I wrote to Tim Lankford (tlankford@pitsco.com) regarding the ROBO Technology Set noted below. He wrote back today to say: (1) Pitsco has not yet received this product so a parts inventory can't be provided right now, (2) software is NOT (...)   New PITSCO LEGO Educational Division catalog

The former PITSCO LEGO Dacta (the US-market-only educational distributor) catalog just came. It has some interesting things. First is a "minimal" RCX package "ROBO Technology Set" 9785/9786 that includes the RCX, 2 motors, 2 touch sensors, a light (...) (22 years ago, 21-Aug-02, to lugnet.lego.dacta, lugnet.robotics)

Re: An alternative? (WAS: Technic's only in a coma (WAS Technic's Dead ))

I'm not sure, but I think this thread has now had more name changes than a dead LEGO product line. ;) (...) Name changes (after 20+ years of being in use) are a silly exercise. For anyone who's ever known it as such, it will always be DUPLO. And why (...) (22 years ago, 6-Aug-02, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.dacta, lugnet.lego.dacta)

  Kudos - credit where due

I was pleasantly surprised on receipt of PITSCO's new catalog. Finally, the ability to order some meaningful amounts of basics (think gears, pulleys) in bulk. Thanks! OK, I'd love to see more and the gears were backordered (I expect due to high (...) (22 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.lego.dacta)
