| | | | | (...) I'm not sure I can get this right, but I'll give it a shot... If you want a perfect cube, you take a 2x2 brick, and top it with a 2x2 plate, and top THAT with a 2x2 tile. A standard brick is 3 plates high. So a 2x2 brick is also 5 plates wide (...) (25 years ago, 20-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

Which is why you see Technic models with beam-plate-plate-beam stacked up--this allows beams to be placed vertically, and connected to the other beams. In LDU (LDraw units), the (...)
