| X-Pod Play Off Version 1.0 (Available prior to 7/6/04) (Version 1.1 errors are available here.) Documented Errors Web Site Errors Units Catalog -> Auto Pod TYPO: Hover Truck level 1 instructions list one piece of part #6, but should list two pieces of #6 Advanced Play -> Advanced X-tra Cards -> Screen 3 (also page 4 of the Advanced Game Rules pdf) TYPO: The description next to the Range +1 card reads: A unit with a normal deconstruct action is considered to have a Decon+2 for the turn... This should read: A unit with a normal deconstruct action is considered to have a Decon R2 for the turn... This can be confirmed by the text on the card itself. Advanced Play -> Advanced X-tra Cards -> Screen 4 (also page 4 and 6 of the Advanced Game Rules pdf) REPEATED MATERIAL: The Carry X-tras card is already available in the Wild Pod starter set, and need not be repeated in the advanced rules. Advanced Play -> Advanced Strategy Guide -> Screen 3 (Autopod) (Also page 7 of the Advanced Strategy Guide pdf file.) ERROR: Autopod Advanced Set #1 lists the following Starting units: Dragster, Forklift, Airhorn. It is not possible to build these three units at the same time, since there are only 2 pieces of part #2. Official Solution: Substitute Hover Pod for Airhorn. ERROR: Autopod Advanced Set #2 lists the following Starting units: Laser Buggy, Toboggan, Hovertruck. It is not possible to build these three units at the same time, since there are only 2 pieces of part #6. Official Solution: Substitute Blue Pusher for Hover Truck. TYPO: Autopod Advanced Set #2 lists Tobaggan, but it should be spelled Toboggan. ERROR: Autopod Advanced Set #3 lists Hover Sport, but this unit plan was omitted in version 1.0. Solution: Download Hover Sport from version 1.1, or substitute either Hover Pod or Hover Truck. Advanced Play -> Advanced Strategy Guide -> Screen 4 (Robopod) (Also page 9 of the Advanced Strategy Guide pdf file.) ERROR: Robopod Advanced Set #1 lists Knightbot, Extendobot, Dr. Robot. but this unit plan was omitted in version 1.0. Solution: Download Knightbot from version 1.1, or substitute either Nicebot, Patroller, Fixit, or Gearhead. ERROR: Robopod Advanced Set #2 lists the following Starting units: Rollerbot, Blasterbot, Grappler. It is not possible to build these three units at the same time, since there are only 2 pieces of part #27. Official Solution: Substitute Fixit for Grappler. ERROR: Robopod Advanced Set #3 lists the three Starting units and eight Other units, but it is against the rules to have more than 10 total plan cards per game. Suggested solution (Unofficial) : Eliminate one of the Green Droids. Units Catalogs OMISSION: All other documents for this game can be downloaded as pdf files, but the complete unit catalogs are only available to print. On my system, at least, this has been problematic, as sometimes they do not print correctly, and there is not an easy way to reprint page 4 of 8, for example. Manual Errors Aeropod Starter Set ERROR: Page 5: Yellow Flyer at level 1 has an action of Brick. This should read None. (see Yellow Flyer in the full Units Catalog) (Thanks to Martin Humel for spotting this one) A corrected version of this card may be downloaded from version 1.1. Autopod Starter Set ERROR: Page 4 and 5: Starting Option #3 lists the unit Roller, but no such unit exists. Official Solution A: Version 1.1 suggests building two Rollabouts and a Basher. Official Solution B: Step 3 of the Setup Guide for the Autopod suggests building Pushabout to go with Rollabout and Basher. Either choice will work. Robopod Starter Set ERROR: Page 4 and 5: Starting Option #2 requires 3 pieces of part #43, but only 2 are in the set. Official Solution: Substitute Patroller for Fixit. Wild Pod Starter Set ERROR: Page 6: The inventory sheet lists 6 pieces of part #14, but only 4 pieces are included in the set. (Note: This page originally showed only 4 pieces, but was incorrectly changed to 6.) CORRECTED in version 1.0. UNCORRECTED in version 1.1. ERROR: Page 6: The inventory sheet lists 4 pieces of part #15, but only 3 pieces are included in the set. CORRECTED in version 1.0. UNCORRECTED in version 1.1. Advanced Game Rules TYPO: Page 2: The description for Picking X-tras reads: The full set of X-tras can be found in the Advanced rules download. This should probably read, The four additional advanced X-tras cards can be found on page 6 of this document. TYPO: Page 5: The heading for the page is Designing Unit Sets, but should read Designing Arenas. Additional FAQs Q: Do the colors of the pieces matter, as long as the part numbers are correct? A: No. Any color piece may be used to build the plan, as long as it is the correct part. Q: My pod contains extra pieces of part #36 (and #40). Can I use them in the game? A: No. Since these parts are so small, the company includes extras in case you lose one, but they shouldnt be used in the game. Only use as many pieces as fit on your inventory sheet. Q: In the Basic game, can I use any of the X-tras cards, or should I only use the cards that were in my pods starter kit? A: Only use the X-tras cards that came with your pods starter kit. Q: The Advanced Rules download only lists one each of the four additional X-tras cards. Are there only one of each allowed per game, or should the page be printed multiple times, and if so, how many times? A: (pending) Q: In the Advanced game, players may choose from the entire range of X-tras cards. Which player chooses first? What if both players want three of the same card, but theres only 3 cards total? A: (pending) Back to Contents Page LEGO, X-Pod, and Play Off are trademarks of LEGO Systems, Inc., which does not endorse, support, or condone this page. |
