Hi everyone! First off, Merry Christmas! Virtual bricks are great, but I hope there are many real bricks under your tree this year! :-) If I have everyone's permission, I'd like to run at the mouth again. ;-) Everyone's heard it before, just not (...) (22 years ago, 24-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

It got me thinking. I have been a closet user of lugnet for about 2 years now and I hadn’t posted anything until 2 months ago. I also have been a closet user of POVRAY for about 5 years. The call to arms hit a chord and made me decide to try and give back a little to a community that has given me a great deal of enjoyment.

So I start with some tutorials...

Tools

My tools have been developed using Java. To make my life easier and to make installation for other users easier, I use Java Webstart. It handles all of the nasty java stuff for you and creates shortcuts on your desktop. It will also will download updates automatically from the web when they are needed.

If you have installed J2SE 1.4.1, you already have it installed. Just click on “Download Ldraw Povray Animation Tools using Java Webstart” link below.

If you don’t have it, click on the “Install Jave Webstart” Link Below. It will take you to the Java download site. Follow the directions for installing J2SE 1.4.1.
