Brickbury Herald 11th August 2002 Late Edition

Love is in the air for famous Brickbury residents it seems. Andrew Pandy, the drummer with the One By Two White Plates, yesterday found the girl of his dreams. He was so besotted with her, indeed that he has even purchased land for a house, romantically situated next to Brickhenge and Dinah’s Diner.

Wedding plans are well underway, but ‘We do not want to rush things’ was the order of the day. Now who, you may ask is the girl who has so bessotted his heart, it is our very own, usually drinking Mayor Autissier. After having a few good luck drinks the Mayor finally found the courage to go and speak to the famous drummer in the wee small hours of the morning. As most of the residents were asleep on the beach the couple were delighting in each others company.

For once the Mayor had little to say, except rather dreamily stating ‘Oh, he’s so fine’. Maybe this is the heat wave talking, but who would have thought it. Invitations to the reception will probably be sent early next week, and boy, can we expect one hell of a party.

On a second subject no one has managed to answer the below question. Dinah is really disapointed saying that until the question is answered the foundation stone to the Dinah cannot be laid. Therefore we are reminding you one last time. Answers on a postcard please.

What is the next line of this old favourite? The red car and the blue car had a race. But all that red could do was stuff his face. He eats everything he sees, from truck to prickly trees...
