Last night Alia Darcy collected another Legoworld Academy of Film Golden Goblet Award (Boris, so called after the awards designer) for her role in All That We See Unseen. Collecting her award in a dark red kimono style dress designed by Gorgiana Darcy (leading fashion designer and Alia’s mother), Alia spoke of absolute delight at winning and personaly thanked the residents of Brickbury for making her feel welcome in her new home.

Other Brickbury residents celebrating last night were Steven Selberg and his wife Marcia from local film company Angelic Films, who picked up best film, best director (for steven) and best costume design. Jean-Luc Lambert was also celebrating, after hiring a big screen to watch the ceremony which he positioned outside the Snack Stop, he sold a massive 196 bottles of wine and 1100 chicken nuggets to the 100 plus residents of Brickbury which joined him.

To celebrate the initial sucess of Brickbury, the start of a (hopefully editor) happy and sucessful marriage and the collection of another Boris last night, Alia Darcy has gifted Brickbury its first piece of public art. The monument which stands 9 bricks high, 4 wide and 1 deep, cut from a single piece of black jet was inspired by the writing of Arthur C. Clarke in 2001: A Space Odissey. ‘This book is Andrew’s favourtite and he gave me the idea’ beamed Alia at a press conference earlier today.

As always to celebrate, and because Alia missed such a good party last night, there was a party afterwards. The omnipresent Mayor Autissier was pleased that it was a beer and pretzel party saying ‘there is only so much wine one can drink in a week...hic’. Alia also promised to premier one of her films in Brickbury as soon as the town has a cinema.
