Pete White

Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Castle,Pirates(if they weren't as scarce), most Space/underwater themes,Belville(for the parts), Star Wars(for the coloured parts)and the start of an interest in Technic and Trains.

My fascination with LEGO began... ...in my childhood back in the 1960's when things were simpler(less specialised parts)and Town was the only thing in .... town !

I once built... lots and lots of multi-levelled houses in spacious grounds covered in classic trees. The houses had lots of classic windows and internal access to other levels always. (If minifigs had existed in a microfig form).

Someday I will build... A huge alien themepark where earthlings from different times are kept as a sideshow attraction for tourist aliens. (This will combine all themes I have an interest in.)

LEGO is great because... It's readily available though expensive. It can be disassembled/reassembled ad infinitum. It's quality.

LEGO fans are great because... like other fans of other interests, obsession and obsessive behaviour are regarded as invisible and as something resembling normal behaviour.

My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: scale model aircraft (once upon a time).

My favorite Hobbies & Interests: cacti and succulents, photography and films.

My favorite Foods: Thai,Mexican,Italian, seafood and anything spicy.

My favorite Movies & TV: independent films,Discovery and National Geographic channels.

My favorite Artists: Frank Lloyd Wright, Gaudi, Ansel Adams

My favorite Music: independent, ambient, soundtracks to films.

My favorite Pets & Animals: cacti and succulents.

Words which best describe me: amusing in small doses.

I love it when... you walk in a toy store and a sign says x% off Lego. When the moon appears unexpectedly. The moment between the lightning flash and thunder.

I hate it when... a toy store employee in an attempt to explain their lack of Lego says "What about kinex?". A cafe bought cup of coffee arrives lukewarm.

I can't seem to get enough... grey bricks,black bricks,brown bricks,orange bricks,turquoise bricks etc.,windows and transparent elements.

I always seem to have enough... out of date service catalogs.

I hope I always... remember my passwords.

I wish I could... travel overseas more often and pay a lot less for Lego than we have to pay for it here below the equator.

I could never... glue one piece of Lego to another.

I hope I never... have to watch the shopping channel again.

I wish I hadn't... gone to sleep with wet hair under that ceiling fan.

In my craziest moments... I sneak back into the asylum.

Believe it or not... koala bears are not really bears! All cacti are succulents but not all succulents are cacti.

If I were super-human... make sure I own the copyright to the series of comic books based upon my life.

More & Less:
  • more National Parks, less passionate narks
  • more products containing caffeine, less sleep
  • more creativity, less passivity

Rules I try to live by:
  1. I own Lego and I vote.
  2. Please open other end.
  3. No adhesive required.
