Favorite LEGO toys/themes: My first love of lego was with classic space. I still love it and it was my original collection. Later I included town and then trains. Now my minifigs can travel, go off into distant galaxies and come home and have a pizza by the lake. What a life!

My fascination with LEGO began... I guess my fascination with lego began when I realized that Barbies were for sissies and that there had to be more out there. I immediately fell in love with space minifigs the first moment I saw them. I think my folks thought I was crazy.

I once built... The Hoffa Cement Company has to be one of my more original creations but I also really like my greenhouse. It gives my minifigs a place to grow their flowers and vegetables in bad weather.

Someday I will build... My future plans include building the Sierra Nevada Brewery and a huge island for my Islanders. I also want to build a mountain range.

LEGO is great because... It is durable, it is recyclable, it has great colors and texture...Shoot, it's great because it is a fun toy that helps me keep my sanity!

LEGO fans are great because... We're a wholesome group of folks who want nothing more than the freedom to build whatever we want with whatever pieces we can get our mitts on.

My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: Micronauts, 6 Million Dollar Man, Hot Wheels, and Pink Panther

My favorite Hobbies & Interests: Grad school, aurora watching, hiking/backpacking, target shooting

My favorite Foods: Ice cream, Italian, anything chocolate, diet pepsi

My favorite Movies & TV: Anything Clint Eastwood or Sean Connery, NFL, Discovery & the Weather Channels

My favorite Artists: Lego Master Builders; Louis L'Amour, author

My favorite Music: Old rock and heavy metal, some country & disco

My favorite Pets & Animals: My cats

Words which best describe me: Happy, fun-loving, easy-going, a completist

I love it when... I get extra time to build my legos, when I get legos for a gift, when I can actually set up my lego layout.

I hate it when... I don't have the time to actually build and sets start to stack up. I also hate getting sniped on ebay...

I can't seem to get enough... Time and space to ever complete my layout or finish building sets that are piling up.

I always seem to have enough... Wheels, I wish I could find them a good home! (Need any?)

I hope I always... Have the creativity and time to enjoy my collection.

I wish I could... Win the lottery so I could retire and build a house with a huge layout room. I would also love to open a toy store with a working layout inside.

I could never... Let my neighbor's small children or anyone else touch my lego models, I go into orbit otherwise.

I hope I never... Lose my job and my income. I also hope I never get arthritis in my hands.

I wish I hadn't... Passed up buying those 2 Unitron Monorail sets, thinking they would still be there when I came back after vacation.

In my craziest moments... I bought more legos sets than would fit in the truck on the way home, well, almost. Good thing I was able to make them all fit!

Believe it or not... I've actually gone on vacation looking for lego sets!

If I were super-human... I'd sort and build all of my sets that are waiting over one weekend with a bunch of my friends. Then I could relax and enjoy my trains.

More & Less:
  • more giving, less taking
  • more Lego, less Megablocks
  • more playtime, less work

Rules I try to live by:
  1. The Golden Rule
  2. A positive attitude won't solve your problems but it will annoy others and make it worth the effort.
  3. Life isn't a rehearsal, live it up.

Additional comments:

This little hobby of mine has turned into a huge undertaking. I have over 1000 lego sets including Town, Trains, Space, Pirate and Castle. My spare parts fill up 10 storage bins (each with 9 drawers) and I have boxes with completed sets in every corner of the house. (Not to mention those storage units and no, I'm not telling when they are!)

I love looking for lego sets when I go on vacation but I also like to buy off the internet, even though it isn't the safest place to trade. I have several people I deal with on a regular basis so I know I'm covered.

I love showing off my sets because it always brings out the best in people which includes memories of their childhood. Young and old alike marvel at the minifigs, the trains and the light and sound sets. Almost everyone can relate to Lego toys!

Lego...God Bless America!
