I just watched Martin Lawrence in "Big Momma's House"...funny movie. :-)
Anyways, during the course of the movie, a young boy (named Trent) has some
lego in a big trunk. I spotted a lot of basic bricks, a castle knight, a
basic bucket, and a large UFO set...not sure which one.
What other movies have y'all seen where Lego makes a cameo? :-)

Neat!

I remember "Hanging up" had a scene or two with the kid playing in the bg or
something... it was fun to see Fort LEGOREDO up in a pretty big shot...

I remember a film featuring the actor from Magnum TV series, Tom Selleck
(sp?). It could be the one featuring three single men sitting a baby,
but I'm not sure.

In one Woody Allen's last films, "Deconstructing Harry" I think, there's a
quick shot of a kid playing with an Aquanaut sub.

My favorite is "The Wedding Singer". You can clearly see a 2153 Robo
Stalker in front of the TV even thought the movie takes place in the mid to
late 80's.

Well, near the end of "Angels in the Outfield" (the more recent version),
one of the players in the dugout is messing with a Technic loader (don't
know the set).

Look out for LEGO in the films:
Time Bandits
Honey I shrunk the kids
But there's none in Toy Story I could spot.

There is in Toy Story II. At one point they're going over a plan of some kind,
and there's a model of the building in LEGO.
Or is that in the first one? Ack. It's in one of them, anyway.

One of my coworkers just mentioned that the 12-10-2000 episode of "Malcolm
in the Middle" had a lengthy scene where an entire room was taken over by a
LEGO city. Can someone confirm this so that we can find a kind soul who
taped the show?

I've been told that in "The Indian in the Cupboard" Omri transports his
miniature Indian and cowboy in a LEGO box. Unfortunately I didn't see it
myself, so I cannot supply any details. I can, however, say that LEGO is
mentioned in the book-- when Omri is cleaning the floor of his room of all that
boy detritus, one of the few categories of his belongings to get sorted out
of the debris are his Lego pieces.

That's definitely true! I can't remember what set, but I do remember catching
it on cable and seeing that when he brings the guys outside it's in a LEGO box.

I saw this movie in theatres about a ten-year old who looked like he was forty,
I think it was called "Jack" or something, and he has Spyrius and Aquanauts in
his room. That and the Indian in the Cupboard box cameo are the only two that
come to mind.

The movie BIG has a sceen in it with a lego fire helo in a class case. They
were running around a toy store at the time so it was a quick look.In an
episode of the TV show Roseanne they were talking about one of the kids
building citys out of lego "when they were a kid"

Don't forget the Mall of America chase scene in 'Jingle all the Way'
staring Sinbad and Arnold Schwarzenegger. They run through what
appears to be the LIC.

In a Discovery Channel documentary about disasters caused by tornados,
they featured a section about tornado proof rooms built by a technician
and he described the basic principles of its building method as "just
like the lego bricks".

Well, not movies, but I have seen Lego sameo in a few video games:
Mega Man 8- Clown Man's stage has walls built from teal and purple bricks.
Some Wario/Mario Gameboy Game- One level is also built out of giant bricks.

I can vouch it was *definitely* the LEGO Imagination Center - I was there
the day they filmed it! I spent most of the afternoon that day building,
and rebuilding, (and rebuilding again!) a Duplo 'castle' that Arnold smashes
as he exits the Imagination Center's "play area". It was a great day! <grin>

Apparently there were a lot of temporal anomalies in the fictional '80s.
The video game Shenmue, set in the '80s, contains a Sega Saturn (released in
mid-90s) and a vending machine containing Sonic the Hedgehog toye (Sonic's
first appearance was in '91).

In the first one, they never had access to Legos at a point where they'd
have needed a model of a building. They did make a floor plan when they
were working on the escape from Sid's house, but they made it out of dominoes.
In the second, I now vaguely remember the scene in question. No details,
though.

Funny how Andy the good kid has Legos, and Sid the bad kid doesn't. Hmm...

In the movie "The Witches" (Based on the book by Roald Dahl), there is an
amount of Lego present throughout the film, what I remember most vividly
being the monorail track (With monorail) in the film.

Yeah, that's it..:-). This was not that I couldn't remember the name of
it, but I've seen in TV with Turkish dubbing, and of course with a
Turkish name. Most of the times, they don't translate the original names
as they are, but put a more charming name on it. Recent example is "What
Lies Beneath". If I translate it's official Turkish name back into
English, it would be "Secret Truth" or something like that.
