Lego action at the Powerhouse museum, Sydney

Incorporated in LegOz 2001.VIC.1 was a visit to the Lego display at the Powerhouse museum in Sydney. Several BUGS, SLUGS & MUGS attended, and lots of moula was disposed of at the Lego shop!!

The R2-D2 at the dorr was pretty neat, and the kid-size soccer field was good too. There were about 20 PCs set up with various Lego Media programs running, including the Spielberg movie program, which I had a bit of fun with. There was also a PlayStation running Lego games.

There was some neat stuff, but just speaking personally, I was a little disappointed. The mindstorms display was pretty small, and the 9754 walker, which I’d never seen in action, had a couple of slopes missing from one hind foot, which reduced it’s ability to walk considerably.

And unfortunately, the lighting was too dim to allow many reasonable shots with my (flash-less) camera - here’s the only one that turned out any good...
