K Large vehicles

OVERALL CONTEST FIRST PRIZE: a $50 gift certificate from Lions Gate Models
OVERALL CONTEST SECOND PRIZE: a $40 credit at Milton Train Works

K001 Legoland School Bus Kyle Peterson
If Legoland had a bus, this would be it! It is able to seat 8 passengers and one driver. Equipped with a GPS, custom chrome exhaust, and state-of-the-art suspension, this bus is ready to handle any route (and any obstacles in its way). Opening doors reach out to offer passengers to climb aboard, and an emergency exit at the rear of the bus for quick escapes. The stop sign swivels out to warn traffic of un/loading passengers. Also, the top of the bus pops off easily for quick access to the passengers.

K002 NYC Sanitation Truck Jonathan Lopes
This is my version of a typical NYC sanitation truck

K003 6 wide armored truck Jonathan Lopes
Modeled after a typical armored (bank) truck

K004 Roll off/open container truck Jonathan Lopes
This functioning model was inspired by numerous similar real life versions lumbering, quite loudly, by my apartment in the Bronx everyday.

K005 (moved to small vehicles-modern)

K006 Mack Model “U” Dump Truck Josh Baakko
To me, one of the oddest, yet most interesting Mack Trucks, I’ve liked ever since I was a little kid, now I’ve tackled the design of it. It features an off-center cab, and a large dump bed. Suprisingly, the rear door even opens on its own, when you tip the bed!

K007 Excavator Pierre Normandin
An excavator you’ve probably seen already.

K008 Town Bus Pierre Normandin
I tried to make a town bus like those NOVABUS LFS.

K009 LIONHEART the Racing-Transporter Kotaro Ono
This 6-stud-wide monster-trailer can carry 2 “4-stud-wide”racing-motors. I hope you all enjoy to see functions and details of this monster-vehicle !

K010 (was H002) 1957 Chevy Corvette Ryan Dennett
This is an 1957 Chevrolet Corvette which I modeled using a die cast as a guide. Three versions are shown; convertable, hardtop, and soft top.

K011 (was J013) Mobile TV Unit Pierre Normandin
A vehicle for all that STUDIO stuff.
