J Large Airplanes

J001 Passenger helicopter (Bregnerod Transit Authority) Jacob Sparre Andersen
more more more This versatile helicopter seats ten passengers. Due to the double main rotor arrangement it is a very versatile craft. As the pictures here show, it has even been used for polar expeditions.

J002 Bell Aerospace Textron X-22A Bram Lambrecht
The ducts rotate forward or upward 90 degrees and lock into position at both extremes with a small spring. A motor inside the body turns all four fans at the same speed, regardless of the position of the ducts. The landing gear is retractable, and the cockpit seats two minifigs.

J003 X-Jet Bram Lambrecht
The landing gear raises and lowers in sync with the raising and lowering of the lower wings.

J004 Jetliner Alan Gerber
This is a minifig scale jetliner. It holds 10 passengers and 2 crew, and has a cockpit, bathroom, and seats.

J005 BAe 146 (two-engine cargo version) Jacob Sparre Andersen
I had ideas for a new way to build wings and a retractable main landing gear, so I had to build an aircraft to put them on. The built model is a mess colour-wise, but I hope to fix that in the building instructions.

J006 TH-14 Black Knight Ryan Dennett
Transport helicopter stationed at my military air station in Legofield.

J007 XF-14 Ryan Dennett
Experimental two person fighter stationed at my military air station in Legofield.

J008 F-15 Eagle A. Mark Wilburn

Although it is no longer the cutting edge, the McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle is still the primary (non Naval) NATO air superiority fighter. The model is 98 studs long (approx 1/25 scale), and features retractible langer gear, opening front canopy

J009 Red Bird Mark II Jacob Sparre Andersen (very much based on an official model)
The Mach II Red Bird had several shortcomings, which I have tried to something about. The Mark II has space for a minifig in the cockpit. It has a significantly larger wing area and the wings fold up, so you don’t loose your plane to passing trucks.

J010 StarScream A. Mark Wilburn
