Techwest Tipi

Reading Bruce Hietbrink’s excellent collection of Wild West links, I stumbled upon the “techwest” concept. As Gil Shaw puts it, techwest is “that wonderful smooshing of western and scifi themes”.

But the one thing missing from the techwest universe was Indians - so I came up with this. It came down to Gungans or Tusken Raiders to play the techwest “Indians”, and I went with the Gungans because they look more a little more alien than the Tuskens - plus I got to use up some of my Jar-Jar heads.

The tipi is composed of 6 panels that sit studs-in, so as to present a smooth outward surface. You can just barely make out in the last pic that the supports are made of one of these attached to the panel with two 1x1 tiles with clip, sitting on a base of jumper plates.

Thanks to all those who have inspired me with their techwest creations, and to Bruce Hietbrink for his great work collecting links.
