Light attack carrier Gervoya

The Gervoya, captained by Kathleen Waynejay, is an example of the most successful variant of the modular MSV (Medium Space Vehicle) vessel design. Carrying a complement of 20 SSV fighters, six torpedo tubes and a battery of particle cannons, the configuration has shown extraordinary performance and versatility despite being over a century old. Currently the Terran Navy has nearly seven hundred MSV-based carriers in active service, more than the rest of the Navy combined.

Builder’s Notes
  • Modular design uses Technic beams. It’s quite strong - you can pick it up by the front section and nothing falls off.
  • The gold geodesic device in the ship’s bow is the wormhole generator which allows space-warp.
  • The large antennae deploy for fighter co-ordination in combat, and furl for wormhole travel.
  • The landing gear use Technic liftarms that “lock” into place - it was too hard to partly dismantle to show this more clearly, but I’ll make a mock-up that does the same thing... later.
  • The command crew are all female and the weapon-deck crew are all male because... well, I don’t know. I was in a funny mood at the time, which also explains the somewhat whimsical names!
