Qi
The Qi, descendents of Shivans who settled in Qinxu, are a unique part of Caeric life. Qinxus great wealth has given them great importance on the national level. Their economic power is quickly turning itself into real political influence, which Melkya Miyamoto has mind to expand onto the continent. The Qi are currently ruled by the Zin Alliance (Wind) between the Zuozins and the Tiezins.
Melkya Miyamoto of Zuotetzin
| | Miyamoto, who is from the Blue Wind Clan (Zin), has great aspirations of being able to unite the Tribes and assume the thrown of Qan. He is also the first Caer to use gunpowder in training of soldiers, but on a small level. Miyamoto has great ambition, but understands all to well the reality of Caerany.

Mel Tetsin Doxi of the Zuozin (Blue Wind) Clan
| |
| | Doxi was at the Ixi Academy at the same time as Kian, and where Kian recieved the title of gxi, Tetsin achieved doxi, second in place to Kian. This perhaps has made him very bitter, but he is a skilled warrior none-the-less. Miyamoto has installed him as mel of the zuozin, rather than rising through the ranks like normal mels.
|
Mel Thich Quang of the Tiezin (Red Wind) Clan
| | Thich is an able warrior, but has learned through battle, rather than schools. The Tiezin Clan is the largest of the Qi, and have allied with Miyamotos Zuozin to grow in power. Of course, their continued loyalty will depend on Miyamotos ability to deliver on past promises.
|
Mel Mu Zao of the Luyi (Black Dragon) Clan
| | The Luyi at one point in time controlled the Qi Tribe, but after wars with invading Durgans, and then the rising Zuozins, have fallen from power. They still have much influence, as well as being the principle supporter of the Ixi Academy. Mu Zao wishes to restore Luyi glory, and perhaps regain the melkyate.

The Zuotei of the Zuozin Clan
picture
| | Miyamoto was the first Caeric leader to begin buying rifles and training soldiers to use them. The product is the Zuotei, the Qi Riflemen. They are not as trained as the Northern Army, but are still significantly powerful. Also differing with the Northern Army, the Zuotei do not have the dynamic, experienced leadership of Gen. Sutton, which further weakens their potential.
