THE BATTLE OF KOZLYN BRIDGE. 40 Qd. 900
Mel Sesoly’s troops have been badly beaten and are now running through Adurjia in an attempt to evade Mel Tetsin’s pursuit. They begin to reach Kozlyn Bridge, the link between Adurjia and Copecaer, and safety. But Tetsin is right on their heals, and leading the way are the Zuotei Riflemen.
| | Mel Miran, hearing about the disaster at Kyamitsu, gathered the best Lion Clan warriors are raced to Kozlyn, reaching there just in time to meet Sesoly’s retreating men.

| | Seeing that Tetsin is in hot pursuit and about to reach the bridge, Miran rallies her warriors and the survivors of Mel Sesoly’s men. Some flee, but most turn to stop Tetsin from invading their homeland.

| | Tetsin sees the Abhavans regrouping and decides to send the Zuotei to clean them up. Miran feints an attack on the bridge, and Tetsin orders his men to fire a volley.

| | As soon as the shots passed overhead, Miran orders an all out charge against the Zuotei.

| | The Lions’ attack is so savage that the unprotected and now unarmed Zuotei jump the bridge. The Zin swordsmen behind them are unexpectedly hit with the Lion charge. The charge is so ferocious that the Zin are pushed back, falling on eachother. One man dies from being impaled on another’s sword.

| | The Zin, expecting a quick and easy victory, are totally psyched and run back to Kyamitsu. Tetsin tries to rally his men but to no avail. Miran decides not to maintain the attack but to stop and defend the Bridge from any further possible attacks.

Miran remains at the bridge and sets up camp. Mel Sesoly returns with his tired warriors to Coplton to meet with Dokeste and inform him what happened. There is talk of removing Sesoly from the position of mel, but nothing for certain.
