Ahrikari
(gov.) Kai Ne’hr foundation tribe-

Known as the ‘descendants of the Terra’, the Ahrikari, descendants of the fertile Lucca Archipelago, held affiliation to three of the eight founding apostles of the Kai Ne’Hr religious following and constitute much of the ancestry of the citizenry throughout Albatross. Please see <link, peoples of Albatross> for more information on this subject.

Allegories
(txt.) Local texts, allegories-

Issued on a centennial basis by the religious establishment, local allegories cover most every decision regarding serious affairs during the duration of the text’s coverage, ranging from revisions and superior interpretations of religious texts to decrees, intifadas and philosophical findings. Included as well with these surprisingly thick volumes are a series of mythological writings and group of essays written by Dragonia’s assimilation of sixteen leaders under the guidance of the Ahrikari tribal council. These allegories are regarded as public archival information from the day of their release, and are available at most every library throughout Albatross for those interrogative scholars to ponder.

Akael Me’Han
(thy.) Draconic deity, Akael Me’Han-

Considered by purveyors of the Akael Interpretation of the Kai Ne’hr faith, Akael He’Han constitutes the dominant deity and the preserver of life on albatross. A strong willed creature, hs is revered to have showered vivacity amongst dying populations, and blessing many of those who embraced his existence with long life, piercing intellect and a general sense of prudence, the three concepts Akael stresses greatly. According to astrologists representing the religious system of weights and measures, Akael is most prevalent during the autumn and harvest months, represented as a small ruby star off into the western horizon of the Dragonia Regal Province, and constitutes the iris of one of three constellations resembling those of a dragon. With the advent of spring, Akael’s star falls into obscurity, rendering his incarnation less visible. In means of diplomacy and war, Akael stresses freedom of the state to propogate intelligence, for the citizens to pursue their own affairs, and for an open market system. There is also a strong military doctrine that greatly stresses patriotism.

Chrysalis
(dev.) Auralumin shards-

A concentrated form of the natural elements and supposed remnants of the technological world, Chrysalis shards are thought by several scholars to constitute the remains of the shattered Sky_spheres auralumin cores, although the religious establishment currently does not endorse the theory. It is widely considered that Chrysalis is a naturally occuring form of a highly concentrated natural or elemental essence, such as water, earth or lightning, scattered about the Terra as tears of the firmament. Please see scripture, Dragonians 6:4 - tears of the heavens. In terms of availability, these valued fragments are considerably rare and most were recovered shortly after the fall of the technological world. It is said that less resonate versions of Chrysalis occur naturally in nature, although they are of negligable feasibility to collect. Smaller fragments usually find themselves encased in the jewelry, ornaments and various accentuations of the wealthy or in the case of heavily machined fragments, in beacon lighting. Moderately sized fragments, however, are extremelly rare, and when used only find application on the staffs and talismans of well-known practitioners of magikal arts for their qualities of amplication. A sound ninety percent of known chrysalis is held within the pews of the religious establishment or within the shelves of museums. Abuse of Chrysalis is best noted in a scene during chapter four, part three, when Sergei utilizes it during his conflict with Ludan.

Curator
(adm.) Curator, chrysalis-

Position held by Ludandrian Blake, who once served as an agent to the system (Seed) for his judicious actions as a human. Little is known about the curators and their purpose, but clues revealed by Ludan indicate that these priveledged few maintained shards of Chrysalis

DPR
(gov.) Dragonia Provincial Republic-

A crossroads between the trading cities of Valencia and Gillead, the Dragonia Provincial Republic was formed after the creation of the organized religious movement and a centralized society around its doctrine during the early second century. (228 A.W) Considered to be the homeland of the presiding apostle Weizel, the still young city of Dragonia gained notoriety in the later decades after the apostle’s death as a holy site, attracting outside interests, entrepreneurs and investment to enrich the city. Some 1770 years later, Dragonia continues to flourish as a mecca in its own right, and plays host to a most magnificent city in architecture, knowledge, culture and artisanship, as well as a superior court of interpretation and a council of religious discussion, similar to the conciliate of Faiye, but much larger in scale. In terms of governship, the city is ‘guided’ by the Ahrikari tribal order, and its teachings are interpreted by a council of sixteen leaders, each representing a county of the republic. Aside from the Sum’mit of LaGuardia, regarded as a most holy site, the imperial palace of Akael resides within the city, and is currently residence to governor Andre Kimera.

Drak’en
(adm.) Order of the Drak’en-

Considered to be the founding party to the faith of the Kai Ne’Hr, little is actually known of the Draken in context, making the examination of hearsay and texts warranted to the public. The widespread and accepted memories of the Drak’en revolve around the fall of the technological world and the need for an organized society to combat errant chaos and anarchy, which persisted to jeopardize the livilhood of humanity. Some consider the Drak’en to be the actual survivors of the fallen sky_spheres, however, only a three of the original eight members (apostles) of the group were descended from Lucaria and its allied districts, and the other five constituted leaders from the war struck and displaced terrestrial nations. These eight members soon convened after purported signs from divinity to converge at a central point, known as the Sum’mit, to delegate with the triumvirate, Akael Me’han,Ti’ahmat and Kil’ahne, and thus form a society centralized around one doctrine. They are now revered in Albatross as the very saviors of its stability and flourishing civilization.

Evolutionary Theory
(thy.) Theory of general evolution-

Professed by many religious scholars througout Albatross as a meaningful reason for the ferocity of creatures today, is cited within the prism as the aftereffect of ‘tears and rains of amelioration, which burst forth from the skies’ giving it many interpretations in the religious sense. Au contraire, the scientific approach has evoked steady interest over the years, stating that during the millenia of general calm after the fall of the technological world, the wildlife population and some of the anthrompomorphic genome evolved in manners never thought possible, accomplishing a million or so years of trial and error evolution, acting on principles of natural selection of the creature’s progeny for survival in the desecrated world and environmental factors. This evolution was causative for extinctions of certain genuses and the creation of subspecies of others, explaining the prevalence of wickedly puissant dragons, chimeras, etc, but seems to have slowed to a pre-war pace during the era of Forresfoxe, making further evolution rather unlikely. With such an explanation in mind, many religious scholars and clerics have scoffed at the theory, but Kimiahn hints at its veracity in chapter five, speaking: ‘Just ask any birder out there’.

Feyrians
(gov.) Nationals of Faiye-

1. Administrators and subjects of the mercantile city of Faiye. Please see <link, peoples of Albatross for more information.
2. txt. A passage from the Scalia Doctrine citing the importance of a free market.

FIN
(adm.) Faiye Intelligence Network-

Regarded as the ‘Fin of the Sea’, by the Feyrians and its allied districts, the FIN specializes in the collection and distribution of political intelligence to the Faiye government and its military administration. The branches of the service extend far throughought the region of Albatross, and a great deal of it resides in the universities, gutter press and administrations of surrounding nations such as LaGuardia, Allercus and the eastern coastal region. However, the FIN’s influence in the DPR and the western region is rather negligable. The current holdership of the network’s eadership position, Calvin Westerfield Beaumont has grown to maintain a strong degree of integrity within the service, instituting a series of catalystic policies known as ‘trigger decrees’, which would be sent in a chain reaction factor by telegraph and carrier pigeon to surrounding intelligence centers and spread outwards in a branching faction for utmost efficiency in the distribution of information. His employment of such technologies such as telegraphs (which can project information in distances up to forty telens), and improvised carrier pigeons, has allowed the network to deeply extend its horizons, although the former is bot known by the religious council to even exist. In short, the FIN is the crown jewel of Faiye’s livlihood.

Kai Ne’hr
(thy.) Triumvirate draconic religion Kai Ne’hr-

Considered by a resounding majority of the region of Albatross as the dominant religious faith and sanctioned in entirety by its governments, Kai Ne’hr continues to persist as a puissant faith 1800 years after its original inception by the order of the Drak’en. The actual faith professes fidelity in a tripartite order of three deities which resemble dragons, each of which harbor separate attributes and following them, three interpretations of the faith exist, each lauding their particular god as the dominant spiritual and political governing force, but still adhering to the core doctrines of the Kai Ne’hr. These beliefs, however, are actually wide-spread deriatives of the original religious teachings of the Prism, which stress shared dominance by each of the three gods. In respect to some of the more conservative beliefs proliferated by strict adherence clerics, politicians and professors of these interpretations and the many political, spiritual and social rifts that exist throughout Albatross, moderates seem to regard their differences as cordial. It is this, and the notion that religious interpretations play little role in legislation as signed by the Dragonian constitution, that no religious wars have yet erupted.

Lucre
(loc.) Lucre, national currency-

The national currency of Albatross and the monetary lifeblood of much of the region of Lucca Archipelago, Lucres could be viewed as an equivalent to a british sovereign, and equal a standard ounce of gold. 28.3 g This currency is divided into base sections, known as Aurels and Gilleads, which constitute 1/10 (bronze 10g) and 1/4 (silver 16g) a Lucre, respectively. These smaller units could, on their own, function as currencies themselves, and are considered by certain regions to be a national money. (Faiye adopted the Aurel and Gillead/Valencis prefers the Gillead) However, all these values are permanentely set by the Feyrian council of weights and measures and remain consistent between region to region and to markets overseas.
Monetary symbol £ Luc. Aur. Gld.

Mingard
(loc.) Archaic language, Mingard-

One of the traditional native languages of Albatross and sanctioned for certain religious proceedings by the Ahrikari and its ancillary orders, Mingard is sometimes used as a tongue of business deals between companies with long established relationships, poetic wriitngs and in some instances, casual speech. However, compared to its use, natural english is far more prolific about the Lucca Acrhipelago and foreign countries beyond it, due to its universal qualities. Is known by some as commanding, or superior speech. Mingard can be either written in english text (times new roman) or in a set of twenty four runes, known as Localgraphy. (the omitted x and q are replaced with cks an kyu, set in brackets) As a base in dialect, Mingard borrows from latin, spanish and phrases established by the Kai Ne’Hr religious order.

OS Prism
(exe.) Operating system, Prism-

An highly speculative theory as perceived by top military brass of the technological world and the subject of several dicsussions between Dash Dracon and the mysterious man he meets during the flashbacks of chapter five and six, PRISM is regarded as an ambient and closed-source operating system over existence which cannot be perceived or manipulated by much of the general populus (save for subconscious hacking by Antipodes), and acts as the central execution of the laws of physicality, time, the cosmos and nature’s programmed executions. In a metaphorical stance, some state the system as existing as a tree, its many branches constituting a fragment of natural growth, the resulting buds resembling the progression of society. Though it contains the very coding of existence, the system cannot directly affect a specific entity in terms of its direction or livlihood is forced to leave that task to its security executions, known as Seeds. Remember that free will is the reason as to why society persists in terms of innovation, as the system admires is greatly. Drawbacks exist as ambition poses a double edged sword, but are risked anyway as life would never progress without ambition. Some say that the actual system is the incarnation of a superior being, such as a god or collection of gods, but the religious society reveres it only as a set divine and natural laws, as recorded in their doctrines and established by a triumvirate of deities. Those capable of communicating with the system include the hybrid, Dash Dracon, who can manipulate the system slightly by actions of subconscious hacking and acoustic prompts, and serves as curator over his Chrysalis.

Reception.exe
(exe.) Chrysalis reception bloc, synaptic process-

Reception.exe is a synaptic process that allows for telepathic broadcasting between various parties with Solex receptors and acts as the core coding which is hard-wired into the neurons or any antipodes using such abilities. The process of cycling the reception code was rendered latent by the Lucarian government when Dash was incarcerated near Lansard Green for conspiring against them, shortly after an attack which left his wife and son presumably dead. The shorting upon the process begins to take form as a physiological block, which, compounded with Dash’s depression over many past events, limits his abilities to take advantage of his abilities on the field and begins to evoke thoughts of confusion, where the lines between reality and dream are blurred. At this point, he is forced to confront these and attack his problems head on, which try to will him to his demise. Documentation on this process is no longer thought to exist in any form in the present.

Rif’el
(dev.) Bolt action rifle-

A technological deviation to the widely known Musk’et, Rif’els were engineered to utilize a system consisting of a bolt action mechanism, a long barrel of a set millimeter diameter and silver shells filled with guncotton powder and a projectile (usually ceramic). The idea was concerning that the trigger would set off the bolt, which would induce a localized force on the rear of a shell, thus igniting the sensitive powder within its confines with subsequent percussion from the mechanism. In most cases, the launched shells would puncture armor and quickly fell enemy units. They were perfected during the era of Forresfoxe, and fell into general obscurity with the ascension of Kai Ne’Hr decrees banning technological proliferation. Currently, only a few operational models exist, most of the antiques collecting dust on museum displays.

Rohadrim
(gov.) Kai Ne’hr foundation tribe-

Revered as the ‘descendants of the skies’, and a lesser known party over Albatross, the Rohadrim exist as some of the last known members of the Drak’en and many of them have integrated with the Ahrikari, providing two of the original eight apostles. Leonis, Loran Over the years, a divisive rift has coasted between the Rohadrim, as both a Christian sect and a Kai Ne’Hr sect exist. Please see <link, peoples of albatross for more information.

Scalia
(txt.) Kainehr ‘scalia’ Doctrine-

Considered the founding doctrine of the polytheistic faith of the Kai Ne’hr, the Scalia was originally wrote eighteen centuries prior to Dash’s arrival, and serves to outline many of the events leading to the destruction of the terrestrial world, the descent of a triumvirate of draconic deities from the heavens, the apostles whom held belief in them, and the subsequent establishment of an organized religious following. Arranged in parts and chapters, the Scalia is a highly speculative range of teachings, and many sections of the compilation are debated for their accuracy, although a common answer to the argument for its veracity states that such teachings are metaphorical in nature, so they reflect proverbial truth. The original doctrine was written by a group of eight apostles who bore witness to the three deities, and now resides as a common text in many households throughout albatross.

Telen
(loc.) Measured distance, Telen-

Telens, an archaic, but universale distance of measurement endorsed by the religious state and the Feyrian council of weights and measures, equates to at least 5 kilometers, or slightly under three terrestrial miles. Locally applied, telens are divided into fractional amounts, known as secas, which are considered 1/10 of a telen.
