Hi all you offset-freaks,
I also **love** building offset details! I even used this technic in my pre
dark age time!
The list James has just writen down is nearly complete:

But I have some more pieces and I would to put some stress on teh 1x2 tile with
middle stud on top. It doesn't look very important, but in fact it is! Formally
designed to hold the compressed air bottles in front of the Classic Space cars,
LEGO might didn't know *how* useful that little piece might become!
I always are run out of it... So for buld wishes it should come in all colors,
first of all in black, grey, white, red, blue, yellow, ... packed in 100's like
the 2x2 tiles would be best!
More "offset" pieces:
- The 1x1x1 technic brick with a vertical hole! Putting a technic pin (2 studs
long) into the hole and the other end in a 1x2 technic beam/brick. I used it at
the LEGO DESERT EXPRESS were the 5-wide part is conected to the cabine
(8-wide).
- The 2x2 plate with a centred hole at one side (hope you understand this..?).
It's used in the UCS X-Wing to connect the 5-wide nose to the 4-wide body. I
haven't experimented with that one so far, but it might work?
- A new piece like the 1x2 offset-tile would be nice: 4 studs long and 3 cenred
studs on top, or 8 studs long with 7 on top. Or as a plate: 2x4 and 4 centred
studs on top! (Come on LEGO designers, give yourself a kick ;-)
[- All kind of positiv and negative roof pieces, especially the rounded ons
like James used for his tram).]
I will keep my fingers crossed for new LEGO buld packs!!
