Re: Motorize switch point —Zhengrong Zang
I had read your design, but you said the house will be separated from the track after about a half dozen cycles if it is operated at power settings 5 and 6...    You said you used LED's for the Lights and standard Lego Lamps, what do you mean? if you used LEGO lamps, why do you still use LED? Zhengrong (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Motorize switch point —Dean Husby
(...) The RED LED's are for the crossing lights. The LEGO Lamps were used for the sensor on one side of the track and a photo transistor on the other. When the train went between the two it activates. Dean -- Coin-Op's For Sale!: (URL) Lego (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Metal Condenser??? If you mean the plastic silver reflectors, yes I used those. OTher then that it was just a 9v power source. Dean -- Coin-Op's For Sale!: (URL) Lego Workshop: (URL) Lego Club: (URL) (23 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Motorize switch point —Zhengrong Zang
I thought is made by metal. Anyway, is it possible if you don't use it, I mean if the light sensor is still activable? Zhengrong (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Motorize switch point —Dean Husby
(...) The reflector lets you "beam" light directly at the sensor, I'm not sure how well it will work without it.
